About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire a Senior Software Integration Engineer - AVP to deliver robust, scalable and high-quality integration solutions across complex client and product ecosystems. This highly experienced individual contributor role takes strong ownership of solution quality and contributes technical expertise throughout the software delivery lifecycle. This role champions engineering standards across the integration platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and support complex integration solutions using C#, .NET, REST APIs, XML, JSON, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL and related technologies, including database interactions, XML and JSON transformations, and deployment processes.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements, and translate them into scalable, secure and maintainable integration designs, APIs, data mappings, validations and configurations.
  • Lead technical analysis and solution design for complex integrations across internal applications, databases, client systems and third-party platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, and the QA, DevOps, Support and client-facing teams to define requirements, resolve dependencies and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, security, performance, reliability, testability and maintainability through code reviews, testing, root-cause analysis and engineering best practices.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues across applications, APIs, databases, configurations, deployments and external system integrations.
  • Drive reusable integration patterns, common services, monitoring, logging, error-handling strategies and continuous improvement initiatives that improve platform scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews, architectural discussions, mentoring, knowledge sharing and guidance to engineering teams.
  • Support Agile delivery activities, including estimation, sprint planning, release management, CI/CD processes and production readiness.
  • Identify design, quality, delivery and operational risks proactively. Communicate technical solutions, risks, dependencies and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders while balancing customer needs with long-term platform sustainability.
  • Provide occasional off-hours or weekend support for critical production issues, deployments and business-critical activities, as needed.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of software development experience delivering testable code and supporting operationalization as needed, with expertise in code reviews, configurability, source-code management, release practices and production support
  • 6+ years of hands-on software development experience using C#, .NET and ASP.NET MVC
  • Advanced proficiency in C# and .NET, including object-oriented programming, application services, controllers, models, asynchronous programming and common .NET engineering practices
  • Strong self-starter with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to engage directly with clients, understand business needs, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles, common design patterns, modular development, microservice architecture and reusable software design
  • Advanced experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, validation, versioning, security and resilient error handling
  • Strong experience with XML, JSON, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL and Postman for enterprise integration development and troubleshooting
  • Solid experience with Git and Azure DevOps, including repositories, builds, CI/CD pipelines, releases, deployments and work-item management
  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across logs, APIs, payloads, databases, configuration, application code, pipelines and deployment behavior
  • Experience with NUnit, xUnit or MSTest, and a strong understanding of test coverage and testable design
  • Understanding of application security, sensitive-data handling, logging, monitoring, reliability and configuration-management principles
  • Willingness to work occasional off-hours or weekend support as needed
  • Experience working in an Agile and Scrum team environment; Scrum Master experience is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for supporting end-to-end functionality; professional experience with React is nice to have
  • Demonstrated success leading technical delivery, mentoring engineers, influencing solution quality and communicating complex topics to technical and nontechnical stakeholders is strongly preferred
