About Felix
Founded in 2019, Felix is a digital healthcare company that puts the patient in control of their own health and wellbeing. We’re passionate about building technology and beautiful customer experiences to make healthcare more accessible (and more enjoyable) for all Canadians.
Felix is Canada's first end-to-end healthcare experience, providing online treatment, prescription delivery and ongoing care. We deliver care across a growing range of daily health categories such as weight loss, birth control, menopause, erectile dysfunction, acne and more.
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Content Designer to help shape how we communicate with patients throughout their healthcare journey.
As a member of Felix’s R&D organization, you’ll work with product managers, designers, and lifecycle marketers to decide what we need to communicate, how to frame it, and which words will help patients feel informed and confident about the next step. You’ll turn complex healthcare information into clear, approachable language and help us tell a cohesive story across our product and patient communications.
This is a hands-on role that combines strategy with substantial writing and editing. You’ll also use AI tools to help you and other teams produce thoughtful, high-quality work at scale. As our first content design hire, you’ll have the opportunity to build the practice from the ground up and shape how your role grows over time.
You will
Shape how we communicate with patients throughout their healthcare journey, identifying what they need to know, what matters most to them, and how to make the next step clear.
Develop and test different messaging and positioning concepts, and use data and patient feedback to understand what resonates and refine the approach.
Write clear and engaging copy for product experiences, emails, push notifications, and other channels that support patients throughout their journey, including onboarding, ongoing care, re-engagement, and more.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and lifecycle marketers to connect product experiences with patient communications so they tell a consistent story.
Turn complex healthcare information and concepts into approachable language, partnering with clinical and marketing teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Apply and evolve the Felix voice, bringing warmth and clarity to moments that may feel unfamiliar or overwhelming while adapting the tone to each context.
Take work from early concepts through writing, review, delivery, and iteration, explaining the thinking behind your work and incorporating feedback thoughtfully.
Develop practical guidelines, tools, and processes – including AI-powered approaches – that help teams produce high-quality, on-brand content independently and at scale.
Strengthen writing across the company through thoughtful feedback, coaching, and critique.
You have
5+ years of relevant experience in content design, UX writing, or copywriting for a consumer-facing digital product or service – you don’t need to have held the title “Content Designer”.
A strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience writing across product experiences and customer communications, along with the strategic thinking behind the work.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a love of the craft and an appetite for doing plenty of hands-on writing, making complex information clear, concise, and human.
Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail, with high standards for accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
Experience with AI writing tools – including crafting prompts, developing voice and channel guidelines, and evaluating outputs for quality and consistency – and enthusiasm for exploring new ways to use AI in content design.
Ability to explain your thinking, collaborate across disciplines, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
Excitement about being our first content design hire, with the resourcefulness and initiative to get things done and build the practice from the ground up.
