Location: Winnipeg
Department: Sales Technology
Reports to: Technical Manager – Sales Technology

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and day-to-day guidance for a new Engineering Technology team. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you will partner with business stakeholders, help shape technical direction, mentor developers, and contribute directly to the design, delivery, and maintenance of a brand-new set of software tools.

This team will focus on rapid prototyping, modern web development, and the thoughtful use of agentic AI-assisted development tools to explore ideas, validate solutions, and deliver high-quality software faster.

This is an opportunity to lead a new team early, influence its technical direction, and help define how Price uses modern software engineering and AI-enabled workflows to build better software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a small team of developers through technical guidance, mentoring, code reviews, and day-to-day coordination.
  • Partner with stakeholders across engineering and the business to understand needs, clarify requirements, and translate them into practical software solutions.
  • Help define the team’s technical roadmap, delivery priorities, and release expectations in alignment with business needs.
  • Help define an agentic AI development workflow for the team.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable services and applications using .NET technologies.
  • Help define technical approaches, architectural patterns, and development standards that improve maintainability, performance, and quality.
  • Work closely with QA and other cross-functional team members to troubleshoot defects, reduce rework, and improve release quality.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to research technical options, accelerate prototyping, reduce repetitive work, and improve development efficiency.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7+ years software development experience with C# and .NET, including 2+ years as a technical lead.
  • Comfortable learning new tools and using AI-assisted development responsibly while applying strong engineering judgment.
  • Excited by the opportunity to help shape a new team and contribute to a fast-moving environment focused on delivery.
  • Experience designing and building well-structured web applications and services, including API design and integration with existing systems.
  • Experience mentoring developers, reviewing code, and guiding implementation decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver practical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound technical judgment, and a focus on quality and maintainability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience building modern web applications with Angular, or a similar framework such as React or Vue.
  • Experience with Azure (or AWS) and cloud-native development practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing, product configuration, engineering software, or similar technical business domains.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Should this excellent opportunity interest you, please submit your resume, including salary expectations.
