General Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead planning, development, execution, and delivery of software, emulation, and silicon validation for Networking Products within the Datacenter BU. You will develop, define, and execute plans, including schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risks. You will oversee programs from start to finish, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on technical matters. You will ensure on-time delivery and achieve program milestones while driving alignment across stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the growing Datacenter Networking Business Unit organization. You will drive the end-to-end software, firmware, emulation, and validation lifecycle across our next-generation Connectivity Products. Expect collaboration during all phases of development, working alongside designers and pre/post-silicon leaders to ensure timely delivery of software that powers the world’s most advanced connectivity technology for AI datacenters!

Responsibilities

  • Drive requirements scoping, analysis, and planning including interdependencies, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across technical teams and customers.
  • Establish a clear Plan of Record and drive prioritization across the organization.
  • Apply consistency and best practices through program initiation, planning, execution, and closing phases, enabling business outcomes and benefits tracking.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop program goals, set priorities for deliverables, discuss involvement of business processes, and drive decisions to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Establish execution discipline & communication process: risk management and mitigation, tracking, schedule trends vs baseline, recovery actions, executive reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop program indicators and KPIs to manage program health including quality and timelines.
  • Promote program vision and objectives within the team, ensure program objectives are met or exceeded, present vision to management, and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Own project schedule and track overall execution of baseline software development, ensuring milestones align with program commitments and customer expectations.
  • Develop and manage the execution of the program Plan of Record (e.g. on time, on budget, within scope) for multiple software programs which include schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, and prioritization.
  • Drive teams to identify program issues/risks and create a risk mitigation plan for multiple medium-sized or single complex program(s). Maintain and update the risk tracker.
  • Establish key program success metrics and manage action plans to ensure program success when metrics deviate from Plan of Record.
  • Define and drive process frameworks across teams for efficient and consistent execution and quality deliverables.
  • Communicate clearly with executives, engineers, and stakeholders, balancing transparency with thoughtful trade-off discussions.
  • Co-manage multi-year software roadmaps and coordinate across silicon, firmware, software, and emulation teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years Program Management experience or related work experience.
  • 5+ years in firmware development.
  • PMP Certification and/or Agile Certification.
  • Experience with agile program management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g. Director level and above).
  • Experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, with excellent verbal and written skills.
