Capco is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support addressing regulatory findings identified by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI).

In this contract role, you will work closely with Cloud Engineering, Security, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to develop comprehensive technical documentation that supports remediation activities, cloud hardening initiatives, and regulatory expectations.

You will play an important role in translating complex cloud engineering concepts into clear, structured, and audit-ready documentation, helping ensure that remediation activities are accurately recorded, traceable, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation supporting the remediation of OSFI findings related to Cloud Engineering, cloud security, and infrastructure hardening.

  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Security teams to document technical controls, cloud configurations, remediation activities, and operational procedures.

  • Translate complex technical information into clear, accurate, and accessible documentation for technical teams, risk stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory reviewers.

  • Support regulatory and audit readiness by ensuring remediation evidence, control documentation, technical standards, and supporting artefacts are comprehensive, consistent, and traceable.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify documentation gaps, maintain version control, and ensure deliverables align with remediation timelines and governance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within financial services, banking, technology, or regulated environments.

  • Experience with Cloud Engineering and cloud hardening, including an understanding of cloud infrastructure, security configurations, technical controls, and operational standards.

  • Strong technical documentation skills, with the ability to produce structured procedures, technical standards, control documentation, and remediation evidence.

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management, with the ability to document technical activities in a manner suitable for governance, audit, and regulatory review.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, cybersecurity, risk, and compliance functions.

Bonus Points For

  • Previous experience supporting OSFI regulatory findings, remediation programmes, or regulatory examinations within Canadian financial institutions.

  • Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, particularly cloud security controls and infrastructure hardening.

  • Knowledge of OSFI Guideline B-13, technology risk management, cloud governance, or cybersecurity control frameworks.

  • Experience documenting cloud security baselines, configuration standards, control testing, and remediation evidence.

  • Familiarity with Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, or similar documentation and workflow management platforms.

Why Join Capco

  • Deliver high-impact technology solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions.

  • Work in a collaborative, flat, and entrepreneurial consulting culture.

  • Access continuous learning, training, and industry certifications.

  • Be part of a team shaping the future of digital financial services.

  • Help shape the future of digital transformation across FS & Energy.
