Location
This role is open to candidates based anywhere in Canada. While we are considering applicants from across the country, we have a strong preference for candidates based in British Columbia or elsewhere in the Pacific time zone, to support employers and advisors across Western Canada.
About Common Wealth
Common Wealth exists to make retirement security accessible to all Canadians. As Canada’s fastest-growing group retirement provider, we serve over 1,800 employers across the country and are helping tens of thousands of Canadians build long-term financial security. Our award-winning retirement platform makes it easy for employers of all sizes to offer competitive retirement benefits, empowers members to build wealth with confidence, and equips advisors with tools to better serve their clients. We work closely with a rapidly expanding network of advisors, for whom we strive to be a true partner in powering the growth of their business.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Account Management, you'll own the employer relationship from the moment a deal closes through the life of the partnership. Today, people working for small and mid-sized employers are left to build retirement savings on their own, which leads to inefficient savings and poor outcomes. Our Account Managers are how we change that: getting plans live, getting employees enrolled and contributing, and keeping employers and their advisors confident in Common Wealth year after year. This is a high-volume, scaled role, with each Account Manager supporting a portfolio of several hundred employers.
You'll work closely with advisors, who are often the primary relationship on an account, and with cross-functional partners in Sales, Customer Service and Operations, Employer Service, Product, and Marketing. You'll run on a playbook-driven operating model built on HubSpot and our internal Account Management Hub, and you'll help shape it as the team grows. Your work will directly contribute to better retirement outcomes and a more inclusive financial future for all Canadians.
What You'll Do
Implementation
- Own implementation for newly signed employers, from closed-won handoff through first payroll contribution
- Partner with Account Executives on a smooth handoff, then lead kickoff meetings and onboarding check-ins
- Guide employers through plan setup, including pre-authorized debit (PAD) forms, eligible employee lists, and payroll setup
- Manage launch timelines, flag risks early, and coordinate with the advisor and Account Executive when a launch date needs to move
- Deliver employee education sessions that drive enrollment and contributions
Portfolio, adoption, and retention
- Manage a scaled portfolio of several hundred employers, prioritizing your time using account health signals and a weekly account briefing
- Run proactive check-ins and stewardship meetings that keep employers engaged and reinforce the value of their plan
- Grow participation after launch by spotting low-enrollment accounts and acting on them
- Collect client feedback, including NPS, and use it to improve the client experience
- Identify at-risk accounts early and act on them using our retention playbook, including plan design and advisor levers
Advisors and partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employers and their advisors
- Partner with advisors as a core channel, coordinating on implementations, plan design, and client health
- Work with Customer Service and Operations, Employer Service, Product, and Marketing to resolve issues, reduce churn, and improve client outcomes
- Keep HubSpot accurate and current, and contribute to the playbooks and tools the team runs on
What You'll Bring
Required
- 2+ years in account management, customer success, client onboarding, or implementation, ideally in B2B SaaS, financial services, or employee benefits

Nice to have
- Experience in group retirement, group benefits, or payroll
