The role will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contribute to cross-functional activation teams, and provide both strategic and hands-on support to deliver high-profile initiatives.

The Advisor will also support our social media and digital channel strategy, including organic and paid content, working across Corporate Communications to deliver coordinated, audience-focused communications that strengthen our reputation and advance business objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute integrated communications plans that define objectives, audiences, key messages, channels, tactics, timelines and success measures
  • Partner with business teams to understand their priorities and provide strategic communications counsel on messaging, positioning, audiences, channels and timing
  • Translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling communications strategies and content
  • Collaborate across External Relations, Internal Communications, Digital, Media Relations, Community Investment, Sponsorships and other teams to deliver coordinated communications approaches
  • Support social media and channel strategy, including content planning, development, scheduling and publishing across TC Energy’s corporate social channels
  • Develop channel-specific approaches that reflect audience needs, platform best practices and communications objectives
  • Support the planning and execution of paid media and digital advertising campaigns, including audience targeting, creative and messaging development, channel selection, optimization and measurement
  • Use social, digital and campaign performance insights to recommend opportunities to strengthen content, targeting, channel mix and overall effectiveness
  • Contribute as a core member of cross-functional activation teams supporting priority initiatives, campaigns, events and sponsorships
  • Develop and coordinate communications materials including messaging frameworks, briefing notes, social and digital content, campaign materials and content plans
  • Manage reviews, approvals, timelines and communications deliverables across multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Identify and implement tools, technologies and process improvements that strengthen communications planning, content development and team effectiveness
  • Ensure communications align with Corporate Communications strategies, standards, corporate narrative and messaging frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6+ years of experience in corporate communications, external communications, marketing communications, digital communications or a related field
  • Experience with paid media and digital advertising, including campaign planning, audience targeting, creative development, optimization and performance measurement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, audience-focused communications
  • Strong collaboration, judgment and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of how paid, owned and earned channels work together as part of an integrated communications strategy
  • Experience working in the energy industry, with an understanding of the sector’s business, stakeholder and communications environment.
