Job description

Company Description

It started with a simple idea: what if surgery could be less invasive and recovery less painful? Nearly 30 years later, that question still fuels everything we do at Intuitive. As a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive care, our technologies—like the da Vinci surgical system and Ion—have transformed how care is delivered for millions of patients worldwide.

We’re a team of engineers, clinicians, and innovators united by one purpose: to make surgery smarter, safer, and more human. Every day, our work helps care teams perform with greater precision and patients recover faster, improving outcomes around the world.

The problems we solve demand creativity, rigor, and collaboration. The work is challenging, but deeply meaningful—because every improvement we make has the potential to change a life.

If you’re ready to contribute to something bigger than yourself and help transform the future of healthcare, you’ll find your purpose here.

  • Build relationships with key provincial healthcare leaders, hospital executives, surgeons, and healthcare influencers to support robotic surgery program development
  • Identify and develop surgeon champions who can advocate for the clinical and patient benefits of da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery
  • Build multidisciplinary advocacy teams that support the evaluation and adoption of da Vinci technology
  • Organize and manage the complete sales process from prospecting through capital approval and purchase execution
  • Create compelling clinical, operational, and financial business cases that support capital investment decisions
  • Analyze local market dynamics, competitive activity, referral patterns, and growth opportunities to inform territory strategy
  • Partner with the Sales Director to develop and execute strategic plans for market expansion and long-term capital growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand provincial funding environments, healthcare priorities, and market dynamics that influence capital investment decisions
  • Effectively coordinate internal resources and stakeholders to support successful system evaluations and acquisition processes
  • Resolve contractual issues and coordinate system installation upon purchase approval
  • Represent Intuitive at national, regional, and local conferences, industry meetings, and educational events to increase awareness of da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery and Intuitive technologies
  • Effectively manage the transition of the initial sale and system installation to the field sales team responsible for procedural growth and utilization
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives
  • Develop knowledge of primary operating room procedures, surgical service lines, hospital operations, and da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery applications
  • Handle all communications, reporting requirements, and administrative follow-up activities associated with capital sales opportunities
