As the newest addition to our team as a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in growing our Canadian business, strengthening strategic relationships, and uncovering new opportunities across the property and insurance markets. Your impact will go beyond winning new business-you'll help expand existing partnerships, grow our portfolio, and connect clients with solutions that deliver real value.

You'll develop and execute strategic business development initiatives that expand our reach, strengthen our market presence, and position FIRST ONSITE as the partner of choice for property restoration, reconstruction, and related services. With a strong brand, a national network, and a commitment to doing what's right, you'll help shape the next chapter of our growth.

  • This is a full-time, permanent role - we're investing in you for the long term.

  • Competitive base salary of $60,000-$80,000, commensurate with experience, plus an assigned company vehicle.

  • Commission structure that rewards results and gives you the opportunity to grow your earnings.

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Opportunities for growth, professional development, and leadership pathways.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

As a Business Development Manager at FIRST ONSITE, your day is focused on building relationships, growing revenue, and creating opportunities that move our business forward. You'll develop a deep understanding of your assigned markets and client accounts, identify emerging opportunities, and build strategies that strengthen existing partnerships while opening doors to new business.

You'll take ownership of your client portfolio, serving as a trusted point of contact and connecting clients with the right FIRST ONSITE solutions. By understanding client needs, industry trends, market conditions, and our service offerings, you'll identify opportunities to expand relationships, increase revenue, and support the continued growth of our restoration and commercial business.

You'll actively pursue new business, develop strategic account plans, and work to maximize opportunities across existing and prospective clients. From responding to inquiries and identifying client needs to presenting solutions and following through on commitments, you'll help deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience while supporting long-term business growth.

Staying ahead means knowing our services, understanding the competitive landscape, and recognizing where FIRST ONSITE can bring added value. You'll share market intelligence and client feedback, identify opportunities for new or expanded services, and help bring forward ideas that strengthen our offering and position us for future growth.

Working closely with internal teams, including Marketing and Operations, you'll help align business development efforts with client needs and organizational priorities. You'll contribute to marketing initiatives and industry events, strengthen our presence in key markets, and build partnerships that generate sustainable growth. Your success will be measured not only by the relationships you build, but by the business you develop, the revenue you generate, and the long-term value you create for FIRST ONSITE.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in business development/sales - with a background in disaster property restoration, construction, property services, or the insurance industry.

  • Established network and experience developing relationships within the property, commercial, insurance, or facility management sectors.

  • Working knowledge of property insurance, building construction, restoration, or related services.

  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, grow existing accounts, and deliver revenue results.

  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using a CRM or sales management platform.

  • A client-focused, commercially minded, data-informed, and results-oriented approach.
