Aplin is proud to partner with My Mutual Insurance in the search for an accomplished and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Built on a commitment to putting people first, My Mutual Insurance is a purpose-driven organization that values integrity, collaboration, and responsible growth. Guided by its philosophy, “People First: On Purpose,” the organization is looking for a financial leader who shares these values and brings the strategic insight, business acumen, and leadership capability to help shape its future.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced insurance finance professional to move beyond traditional financial oversight and become a trusted strategic partner to the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leadership team.

The Opportunity
As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in protecting the organization’s financial strength while supporting its long-term strategy, operational excellence, and continued evolution.

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and Board to influence business strategy, financial planning, organizational performance, and long-term sustainability.
  • Financial Stewardship: Lead financial reporting, forecasting, capital management, treasury, investment oversight, and financial controls.
  • Risk & Regulatory Leadership: Provide executive oversight of enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, capital adequacy, and corporate governance.
  • Executive Partnership: Translate complex financial information into meaningful insights that support confident, informed decisions.
  • People & Performance: Inspire, mentor, and develop a collaborative, high-performing team while championing continuous improvement and innovation.

The Leader We’re Looking For
We are seeking an accomplished financial executive who combines strong technical expertise with commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and an authentic, people-centred leadership style.

  • Significant progressive financial leadership experience within the insurance industry, preferably property and casualty (P&C).
  • A strong understanding of insurance financial reporting, regulatory requirements, capital management, and enterprise risk.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives, Boards of Directors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to balance financial discipline with innovation, strategic growth, and organizational performance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, sound judgment, integrity, and a collaborative approach to leadership.
  • A CPA designation is preferred, along with relevant post-secondary education.

Whether you are an established CFO or a highly capable senior finance executive ready for your next leadership opportunity, we are interested in connecting.

Why My Mutual Insurance?
This opportunity offers something increasingly important in executive leadership: the ability to make a meaningful impact within an organization where values genuinely matter.

You will work alongside an engaged leadership team, contribute directly to decisions shaping the organization’s future, and play an important role in maintaining the financial strength and trust that underpin My Mutual’s commitment to its policyholders.

Location & Flexibility
This role is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with the head office space in Waldheim. A regular presence in Waldheim is important to support leadership collaboration and organizational connection.
