Opportunity

Are you a strong problem-solver who enjoys helping customers, investigating issues, and working through information to find the right solution? Are you detail-oriented, comfortable learning new systems, and interested in building a career in insurance claims?

Millennium Insurance is looking for a Claims Adjuster to join our New Home Warranty team. We are looking for someone who brings strong customer service skills, sound judgment, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Previous New Home Warranty experience is not required. We will provide training to help you develop the technical knowledge needed to succeed in the role.

In this role, you will support builders and homeowners throughout the claims process, investigate coverage, coordinate inspections and external resources, and work toward fair and timely claim resolutions.

What you will be doing

  • Receive and review New Home Warranty claims and confirm applicable policy coverage.
  • Communicate with homeowners and builders to explain the claims process, coverage, required information, and next steps.
  • Investigate claims by gathering and reviewing relevant information, documentation, and supporting evidence.
  • Attend properties as required to inspect reported concerns and document findings.
  • Review claim information and make coverage decisions within established authority.
  • Coordinate contractors, inspectors, consultants, and other external resources as required.
  • Monitor claim progress, external costs, outstanding information, and required follow-ups.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and complete claim documentation within the claims management system.
  • Establish, review, and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service to homeowners throughout the claims process.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Underwriting and Sales, to support effective claim resolution.
  • Identify complex, unusual, or above-authority matters and escalate them for appropriate review.

What you bring to the team

  • Previous experience in customer service, claims, administration, insurance, construction, financial services, or a related environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in investigating issues and finding solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow-ups
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, computer systems, and learning new technology.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when additional information or assistance is required
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Eager to learn and develop knowledge of New Home Warranty claims, coverage, and construction standards.
  • Previous residential construction, or New Home Warranty experience is considered an asset.

How you will succeed

Success will be demonstrated by your ability to provide positive experience for homeowners, manage claims accurately and efficiently, maintain clear documentation, and stay on top of required follow-ups. As you grow in the role, you will develop your knowledge of New Home Warranty coverage and claims practices, build confidence in making coverage decisions, and progress toward independently managing your assigned claims.
