The ideal candidate will be a confident, collaborative, and experienced leader with a strong background in non-profit management, fund development, financial oversight, and team leadership. This individual will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, donors, and community partners to ensure effective program delivery, organizational sustainability, and alignment with Mom2Mom's mission and strategic goals.

Start Date: Immediately

Hours: 31 hours per week, 4-day workweek

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid - primarily remote with one day per week in office)

Reports To: Board of Directors

Why This Role?

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a purpose-driven organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of mothers and families in the community. Mom2Mom has evolved from a grassroots charity into a more established organization with structured processes, dedicated staff, and professional operational support.

As Executive Director, you'll have the opportunity to build on this foundation, strengthen organizational culture, expand community partnerships, and shape the next chapter of Mom2Mom's growth. You'll work alongside a passionate and collaborative team of five direct reports and an engaged Board of Directors to advance the organization's mission and long-term sustainability.

As Executive Director, you'll provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across Mom2Mom's programs, people, operations, and fundraising initiatives. You'll foster a positive and supportive team environment while ensuring the organization has the resources, partnerships, and processes needed to deliver meaningful services.

You'll work closely with the Board of Directors to review and advance the strategic plan, identify opportunities for revenue growth, and strengthen Mom2Mom's visibility and reputation within the charitable and social services sector. This role requires someone who can confidently navigate a fast-paced environment, make independent decisions, and balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational needs.

They Offer:

  • Flexible hybrid work arrangement with only one required in-office day per week

  • Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors and staff to implement, monitor, and evaluate the organization's strategic plan
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen organizational effectiveness
  • Support program development and continuous improvement, ensuring services remain aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and community needs
  • Identify organizational challenges, assess potential risks, and implement strategies to support long-term sustainability and growth
  • Develop, review, and recommend organizational policies and procedures to ensure effective governance and operational practices
