Job description

BC Tree Fruits is looking for a Finance and Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the Oliver facility. This is a hands-on, plant-based role supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of a busy fruit packing facility. You'll work on-site in Oliver with the support of a remote team, making this a great fit for someone who is self-sufficient, organized, and comfortable being the local point of contact for both the plant team and the broader ownership group.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can manage the transactional side of our operation, keep the books accurate, and keep the plant running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Process accounts payable, client invoicing and purchase orders
  • Complete timekeeping and payroll for plant employees
  • Maintain full bookkeeping for the Oliver company and the Summerland and Keremeos partnership
  • Prepare weekly fruit reports, grower estimate variances, and draft grower statements, and monitor cash flow
  • Reconcile daily Bin Trac/Envio and 3PL entries, and provide general administrative support

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in an accounting role, ideally within a production, manufacturing, or agriculture-related environment
  • Solid working knowledge of AP and payroll processes, with familiarity with GST/HST, PST, and WCB filing requirements
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
  • Ability to work independently on site and manage priorities with a remote support team
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach; post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred

Why Join BC Tree Fruits?

  • Competitive salary of $60k - $75k per year
  • Full-time position with extended health and dental benefits
  • Collaborative team environment that values initiative and continuous improvement
  • Long-term career growth and development opportunities

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a plant-level accounting and administration function while being supported by a larger team.
