Job description

About Stem Health

At Stem Health, we’re building something truly special. We’re a small, thoughtful team reimagining the healthcare experience for individuals seeking an elevated, proactive approach to care. By combining medical excellence with the warmth of hospitality, we deliver personalized, relationship-based primary care in a beautiful, thoughtfully designed space. Our work is data-informed, grounded in time and trust, and focused on developing best-in-class practices that put our clients first and drive meaningful, measurable health outcomes. We’re looking for curious, driven people who want to grow with us and help shape what great care looks like.

The Vision: Skin as a Window to Longevity

We don’t view dermatology as a series of isolated procedures. We see it as a vital chapter in a client’s Unified Health Story. As our Dermatology Lead, you are a “Warm Educator” who translates complex medical markers into clear, actionable pathways for skin health and aesthetic confidence, while diagnosing and managing a wide range of skin conditions, performing cosmetic procedures, and collaborating closely with our primary care and wellness teams as part of a holistic health experience.

How You Will Lead (The Five Actions)

Your role is built on the five pillars of our patient experience:

  • Clarify: You use plain language to decode dermatologic truths, making medical markers meaningful for our clients without ever being patronizing.
  • Carry: You ensure continuity of care. You collaborate seamlessly with our primary care and wellness teams to ensure the "handoff" is invisible to the client.
  • Pace: You respect the rhythm of care. With extended appointment times, you provide a calm, unhurried environment where proactive health is the priority.
  • Anticipate: You look ahead. You help clients plan for the next steps in their health story, identifying early signals and providing preventive strategies before they are needed.
  • Fulfill: you deliver visible progress. Whether medical or aesthetic, you provide clear closure to care cycles and celebrate milestones in a client’s health journey.

Your Expertise

  • Precision Care: You are a board-certified Dermatologist with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • A Dual Mastery: You bring deep experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, viewing them not as separate tasks, but as a singular path toward precision care.
  • The Refined Aesthetic Eye: You possess strong diagnostic and procedural skills, delivering outcomes that favor warmth over gloss and subtle, natural results.
  • Integrated Mindset: You value longitudinal data and believe that skin health is interconnected with our five pillars: Sleep, Nutrition, Movement, Mental Health, and Social Connection.
  • The Seamless Narrative: You are comfortable with EMR systems and private healthcare workflows, ensuring that your documentation supports a Unified Health Story and zero-friction continuity for our care team.
  • The Stem Persona: You embody the "steady hand," offering grounded, evidence-based guidance that avoids fear-based messaging.

The Stem Promise: A Different Rhythm of Practice

We believe that exceptional care requires a "Steady Hand" and the luxury of time. To support your leadership, we provide:

  • Paced Care: A time-rich, low-volume practice model designed for meaningful patient relationships rather than throughput.
  • Space to Clarify: Extended appointment windows that remove volume pressure, allowing you to provide the "Warm Educator" experience our clients expect.
  • Curated Comfort: A calm, wellness-forward clinical setting that uses subtle nature cues and warmth over clinical gloss.
  • The Power of Continuity: Full interdisciplinary support and robust diagnostics, ensuring your specialty is part of a "Unified Health Story".
  • Clear Ownership: The autonomy to shape our dermatology program while carrying the vision of a new standard for private healthcare in Canada.
  • Anticipatory Growth: A unique opportunity to lead within a brand that prioritizes longitudinal data and proactive care over reactive treatment

Eligible candidates may have the opportunity to participate in the company’s long-term success through ownership via stock option allocations.
