Your Impact

As a Lead Quality Developer, you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of OpenText's document conversion and viewing technologies. You will lead quality initiatives across a broad portfolio of document loaders and products, validating that business-critical content, graphics, diagrams, fonts, and technical drawings are faithfully preserved throughout processing workflows.

This role combines technical leadership, hands-on quality engineering, and strong ownership. You will work closely with Product Management, Development, and Operations teams to balance competing priorities, manage testing across numerous file formats and components, and ensure clients can trust that no content or business value is lost during document transformation.

What the Role Offers

  • Lead testing strategies for document conversion, viewing, rendering, and comparison capabilities across a wide range of file formats, including PDF, Microsoft Office, image, and CAD/CAM documents.
  • Validate document fidelity, identifying issues related to formatting, graphics, fonts, diagrams, technical drawings, metadata, and potential data loss.
  • Own quality across a large portfolio of document loaders and products, maintaining visibility into updates, risks, priorities, and regression requirements.
  • Develop automated tests and internal tools using technologies such as Selenium, SQL, Excel, and C++-based utilities to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to prioritize work based on business impact, technical risk, and client needs.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and quality guidance while driving continuous improvement across QA processes, tooling, and methodologies.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Strong experience in software quality engineering, test automation, and enterprise application testing.
  • Familiarity with document technologies, file formats, PDF processing, rendering, conversion, or graphics-oriented applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle differences in layouts, fonts, diagrams, graphics, and converted output.
  • Experience using tools such as Selenium, SQL, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, ValueEdge, Confluence, and issue tracking platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple products, priorities, and dependencies while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Some programming experience, preferably with C++, scripting, or developing internal testing utilities.
  • Experience in graphics-intensive, document-centric, gaming, 3D visualization, CAD/CAM, engineering, or construction software environments is highly valued.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
