Job description

About the role

Step into leadership, bring your ideas, and help us build something incredible together.

Are you ready to move into a role where your leadership truly matters, where your voice is heard, your ideas are welcomed, and your impact is seen every day?

At DMCL, we’re looking for a US Corporate Tax Manager who’s excited to shape the future of a growing practice. You’ll join a tight-knit team backed by a supportive Partner who believes that life sometimes lifes—and who leads with clarity, flexibility, and trust. If you’re someone who thrives when expectations are clear, but freedom is respected, and you want to help build and develop a team while growing your own career, this is your next step.

Why this role?

You’ll be working alongside Jay Park, our US Tax Partner and visionary behind this division. The team is collaborative, supportive, and still evolving, which means there’s room for your leadership, your perspective, and your fingerprints on how things are done. We’re not bogged down by red tape, and we don’t just talk about work-life balance; we live it.

This is your opportunity to lead and contribute, to manage and mentor, to build and belong.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Lead the compliance and advisory needs for a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses with US operations.
  • Respond to IRS and state-level inquiries and guide clients through complex US tax issues.
  • Collaborate with the cross-border personal tax team on integrated planning strategies.
  • Mentor junior staff, build their confidence, and shape their technical and leadership growth.
  • Establish, improve, and streamline internal processes—your ideas will drive how we work.
  • Actively manage WIP, profitability, and workflow deadlines to keep the team and projects moving.
  • Take the lead on client communications, project planning, and identifying new opportunities for the division’s growth.

Who you are

  • Are a CPA (or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience in US corporate tax and 1+ year at the Manager/reviewer level.
  • Want clarity and consistency but also the flexibility to do your best work your way.
  • Are ready to step into more leadership, mentoring staff, owning your client files, and guiding a team with care and confidence.
  • Bring fresh ideas and an open mind to help refine and scale our division.
  • Enjoy solving complex tax puzzles and navigating evolving US tax rules with curiosity and precision.
  • Want to work somewhere where supportive culture and high expectations go hand in hand.

What's special about this team?

Hear it from one of our Managers:

“With Jay as Partner, we built something that works—not just in terms of processes and controls, but in culture too. We created a space where people look out for each other, where you can speak up, bring new ideas, and know you’ll be heard. I’ve grown from a Manager to a Senior Manager here, and now we’re looking for someone who wants to keep shaping this with us—someone who’s ready to lead, support others, and grow something meaningful.”

What DMCL offers

  • A 35-hour workweek, with core hours between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM

  • An annual wellness allowance to support mental and physical well-being
  • Meal allowances for additional time worked
  • Fulfillment of CPA PD requirements through a variety of options, such as CPA Professional Development Courses, online podcasts, monthly tax updates, and in-house developed sessions—allowing each individual to tailor their annual PD to the type of work they’re doing
