Job description

Requisition ID: 278119

Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

The Manager, Workforce Planning / Workforce Insights, leads the workforce management function for Enterprise Security, with accountability for workforce planning governance, capacity transparency, demand forecasting, reporting, insights and service delivery.

Positioned between Senior Workforce Analyst and Senior Manager, the role moves the function from execution and analysis to operational leadership, planning governance, stakeholder management and workforce planning outcomes.

The role may operate without direct reports at time of hire and is designed to scale into formal people leadership as the workforce management team grows.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Own workforce planning and workforce insights service delivery for assigned Enterprise Security stakeholders, ensuring priorities, routines and deliverables align with business needs.
  • Oversee demand forecasting, capacity planning and workforce transparency across headcount, vacancies, contractors/vendors, location footprint and initiative-based work.
  • Govern workforce planning methodologies, workflows, data definitions, reporting standards and quality controls to improve consistency, integrity, and planning discipline.
  • Manage workforce planning risks, issues, escalations and stakeholder expectations, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to senior leadership.
  • Lead workforce planning discussions with leaders and partners, presenting insights, recommendations and decision-support materials.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Technology, Workforce Management and Enterprise Security leaders to align assumptions, priorities and reporting requirements.
  • Develop workforce management capability by mentoring analysts and practitioners, sharing best practices and strengthening onboarding, knowledge management and succession readiness

Workforce Governance, Service Delivery and Decision Authority

  • Define and maintain workforce planning operating practices, planning calendars, intake, prioritization, service expectations and performance measures.
  • Make independent decisions on workforce planning priorities, reporting requirements, workflows, escalation pathways and service delivery sequencing within the scope of the function.
  • Provide recommendations and supporting analysis for strategic workforce decisions while final accountability for enterprise workforce strategy, investment decisions and operating model design remains with senior leadership.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Organizational Effectiveness or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in workforce planning, workforce management, performance reporting, analytics, operations, financial services, technology or a related discipline; people leadership experience is an asset but not required at time of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a business function through influence, establish priorities, govern processes, manage service delivery and drive outcomes across stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce planning, capacity management, demand forecasting, headcount reporting, vacancy tracking, contractor/vendor workforce oversight and planning governance.
  • Ability to translate workforce data into concise insights, dashboards, scorecards, recommendations and decision-ready materials for leaders and partner teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, judgment and organizational skills, with ability to manage sensitive workforce information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, SQL, VBA, SharePoint, workflow tools or comparable reporting and automation technologies is an asset.
  • Coaching, mentoring or capability-building experience, with readiness to assume formal people leadership responsibilities as the function expands
