Job description

Marketing and Communications Manager

Inline Group Inc. | Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta

Inline Group is looking for an organized, hardworking, and hands-on Marketing and Communications Manager with a strong foundation in B2B marketing and internal communications to support our continued growth across Canada. We’re looking for someone who understands B2B marketing, ideally within construction, engineering, or technical services, and knows how to translate business objectives into effective marketing and communications.

As this role is responsible for corporate communications, executive messaging, and public-facing content, exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively, with an excellent command of English grammar, tone, clarity, and professional business writing. This is a true player-coach role. You’ll lead the Marketing and Communications function, manage a Marketing/Design Generalist, and remain actively involved in day-to-day execution. You’ll play a key role in aligning our brands, developing our internal communications framework, and supporting the integration of acquired businesses.

This position may be based in either Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta, with employees working in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from home on Wednesdays.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute Inline’s marketing and communications strategies, annual plans, and budgets.
  • Design, develop, and manage the organization’s internal communications framework to support consistent, effective communication across the business.
  • Lead internal communications, executive announcements, corporate messaging, and employee engagement communications.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions through brand integration, employee communications, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Lead the alignment and integration of existing and acquired brands to support a consistent corporate identity.
  • Manage digital marketing, social media, website content, SEO, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Develop clear, engaging content that showcases our projects, technical expertise, people, and business accomplishments.
  • Provide a broad range of marketing and communications services to Business Development, People Operations, and Operations.
  • Lead and develop our Marketing/Design Generalist while managing external vendors and remaining actively involved in delivering the work.
  • Support corporate events, client engagement, and community initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, industrial services, or technical professional services is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including acquisition-related communications, brand integration, and organizational change communications, is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering internal communications programs, corporate messaging, and employee communications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, including professional business writing and executive communications.
  • Proven ability to develop marketing and communications strategies while personally executing campaigns, projects, and communications.
  • Experience with LinkedIn, digital marketing, website management, SEO, and content development.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading people, managing external vendors, and coordinating projects.
  • Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.

Who Will Thrive Here

  • You’re a highly organized, dependable, and collaborative professional who enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. You can develop a communications plan, write a great piece of content, coordinate multiple projects, and work comfortably with executives and employees at all levels.
  • You enjoy bringing structure to a growing business, building strong working relationships, and helping people stay informed and connected through change.
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve, and you take pride in delivering high-quality work from start to finish.
