The Government of Nunavut recognizes that Nunavut Inuit and Non-Inuit students, including recent graduates are keen to practice and strengthen their skills and explore potential career paths. By applying to participate in the Tuglirijavut Student Employment program, you will be considered for employment/training opportunities and learn from helpful mentors while earning a competitive salary! Participating will also help you evaluate career options within the public service, help you decide on educational paths to pursue or enrich your current academic studies.

There is no application deadline for students, but we encourage students looking for summer employment to apply as soon as possible.

  • Applicants may submit their resume in any of the Official Languages of Nunavut.
  • The onus is on candidates in receipt of foreign post-secondary education credentials to have their foreign credentials assessed through a recognized Canadian education institution. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of their application.

With one of the fastest growing and youngest populations in Canada, Nunavut is a dynamic, vibrant territory, committed to becoming an even better place for future generations. As a government, we are strengthening our unique model of governance - one that integrates Inuit societal values, promotes use of the Inuktut language, achieves a representative public service, and collaborates with partners to achieve the promise of Nunavut.
