Job description

Who We Are

Everclean is a trusted Canadian-owned and operated facility services provider, proudly operating under Kandor Management Corp., alongside Guardteck Security and Kendrix Technologies. We specialize in delivering professional cleaning and maintenance services across a wide range of industries and environments.

We believe exceptional cleaning starts with the right people. That’s why we invest in our teams through hands-on training, ongoing support, and clear opportunities for growth. When our people are equipped and supported, it shows in the quality, consistency, and care delivered at every site.

Cleanliness is more than appearance, it’s about health, safety, and creating spaces people can feel good in. Our teams take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept environments while building strong relationships with the clients and communities we serve. Every site is approached with attention to detail, reliability, and pride in doing the job right.

Our strength is our people. Every role contributes to the high standard of cleaning service we are known for, and each team member plays an important part in delivering it. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to building a workplace where people can grow and build lasting careers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Everclean team and be part of the work that keeps spaces clean, safe, and running smoothly every day.

Be the Heartbeat of a Community Hub

Imagine starting every shift knowing that the work you do keeps a bustling, community-centred mall clean, safe, and welcoming for thousands of people every single day. At Everclean Facility Services, that's exactly what you'll do, and you won't be doing it alone. You'll lead a team, build lasting relationships, and play a front-row role in the events and community moments that make this space more than just a mall.

We're looking for a Site Manager who leads with purpose, takes pride in service excellence, and knows how to bring out the best in the people around them. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with confidence, and finds real satisfaction in a job well done — we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Lead Daily Operations (40% of your time)
You'll be the on-the-ground operational leader for our site in Nanaimo, BC. From overseeing daily cleaning operations and conducting quality walkthroughs to maintaining staffing levels and submitting supply and equipment requests, you'll keep everything running smoothly. You'll use our quality assurance tools and checklists to maintain the high standards our client expects — and that you'll take personal pride in delivering.

Build Trusted Client Relationships (25% of your time)
You'll serve as the key point of contact for property management and site stakeholders. That means proactive communication, responsive follow-through, and a genuine commitment to building partnerships — not just fulfilling a contract. You'll ensure scheduling is clear, communicated, and consistently delivered.

Champion Health, Safety & Compliance (20% of your time)
Safety isn't a checkbox here — it's a core value. You'll ensure your team is trained in WHMIS, Bloodborne Pathogen protocols, and WorkSafeBC (WCB) requirements. You'll also conduct regular supply audits and verify that all products are properly stored and labelled. A safe environment for your team is a non-negotiable priority.

Plan, Report & Improve (15% of your time)
You'll monitor service hours, develop staffing plans, manage work tickets for additional requests, and provide regular performance reports with actionable recommendations. You're not just maintaining the status quo — you're always looking for ways to improve.

What Makes This Role Special

A community-connected environment. This isn't a typical facility — it's a vibrant, event-driven mall that plays an active role in the Nanaimo community. From seasonal events to community programming, you'll be part of something with real local meaning.

A company that invests in its frontline leaders. At Everclean, we recognize that our site managers are the backbone of our client relationships and operational success. You'll receive the tools, training, and support to do your job well and grow professionally.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience managing janitorial, custodial, or facilities teams in a commercial setting
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, including WorkSafeBC (WCB) compliance
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills — you know how to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse service team
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — with clients, your team, and stakeholders alike
  • Sharp organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with supply management, inventory auditing, and equipment maintenance coordination
  • Skilled in training staff to standard operating procedures with a commitment to continuous development
  • Comfortable using basic computer tools (MS Office) for scheduling, reporting, and communication
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset — you don't wait for issues to escalate, you address them early

Why Everclean?

  • $52,000-$55,000 salary range: competitive for the Nanaimo market and the scope of this leadership role
  • A stable, full-time position with a company that values operational excellence and its people
  • The chance to work at a community-focused property with a dynamic, event-driven atmosphere
  • Ongoing training and professional development support
  • A culture that values safety, quality, and human connection

Ready to Lead?

If you're passionate about operational excellence, client relationships, and making a real difference in your community — we'd love to connect.
