About PharmAchieve

PharmAchieve, where "Education is Our Passion," is Canada's largest pharmacy training organization. Each year, we train approximately 1 in 7 pharmacists, including around 60% of all Canadian pharmacy graduates and thousands of International Pharmacy Graduates (IPGs) preparing for the PEBC exams. We are also a leader in offering accredited courses that enable pharmacists to legally perform regulated acts, such as administering injections, prescribing for minor ailments, and billing public or private insurance. Position Overview

PharmAchieve is seeking licensed pharmacists to join our team as Mock OSCE Assessors. We hold mock OSCEs three times per year (October/November, January/February, and April/May) across Toronto, Calgary, and Edmonton. The successful candidates will be responsible for evaluating students during these in-person sessions. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent professional judgment, and the ability to work independently.

Hours and Location

Hours:

Minimum 5-hour commitment per shift. Once approved for our roster, shifts become available prior to each OSCE season and can be picked up by assessors on a first-come, first-served basis.

Locations:

University of Calgary (Foothills Campus)

Duties

  • Assessing candidates objectively based on a standardized checklist.
  • Offering constructive written and verbal feedback to help candidates improve their clinical and communication skills.
  • Using your professional judgment to support the next generation of pharmacists by providing specific, actionable insights into areas where they made mistakes, rather than just general praise.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist: Must be a Canadian licensed pharmacist in good standing.
  • Clinical Experience: 1-2 years is preferred.
  • PEBC Qualifying Exams: Must have successfully completed the PEBC exams, preferably within the last 5 years.
  • PEBC Affiliation: The successful candidate must not have worked with the PEBC in the last 5 years.
  • Excellent Communication: Ability to provide clear, accurate, and highly constructive written and verbal feedback with strong attention to detail.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in giving back, mentoring, and shaping the future generation of pharmacists.

Our Recruitment Process

Please note that this role is an independent contractor pool posting; your application will remain on file for future consideration. When our hiring needs arise prior to an OSCE season, we will review the pool and reach out to selected candidates to schedule a brief interview. Successful candidates will then be added to our official roster and given access to pick up available shifts.

Accessibility and Equal Opportunity

PharmAchieve is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and barrier-free environment. We celebrate diversity and make our contractor selection decisions based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.

In compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), we are dedicated to providing accommodations throughout the selection process and during your contract with us.
