In this role, you will take on a premier PeopleSoft security administration, application development, and technical business analysis capacity, specializing in ensuring the stability, security, and integrity of enterprise PeopleSoft applications.

As a Programmer Analyst, IT (PeopleSoft Security), you will bridge the gap between technical IT infrastructure, application development teams, and key functional business units such as HR and Finance. Operating in Toronto, you will lead the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of robust security models, user provisioning frameworks, and role-based access controls (RBAC). You will also participate directly in PeopleSoft application development, testing, patching, and incident triage. This position demands an enterprise systems authority with deep hands-on expertise across PeopleSoft security architecture, Application Designer (Classic and Fluid), Data Mover, Integration Broker, and automated scripting to safeguard organizational assets, maintain audit compliance, and deliver high-performance enterprise enhancements.

Location: Toronto, ON

Assignment Type: On-site

Duration: Full-Time Permanent

Advantages
High-Impact Hybrid Scope: Combine PeopleSoft security administration, hands-on development, and business analysis within one dynamic role.

Modern Interface Exposure: Direct involvement supporting and configuring both PeopleSoft Classic and modern Fluid user interfaces.

Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate across enterprise business pillars, including HR, Finance, internal audit, and central IT.

Permanent Career Stability: Secure a full-time, permanent position focused on long-term enterprise sustainment and modernization.

Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain security roles, permission lists, and user profiles across enterprise PeopleSoft environments.

Manage end-to-end user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access requests in strict compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards.

Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and generate compliance documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.

Analyze, design, develop, configure, test, and support PeopleSoft applications to deliver operational enhancements and business solutions.

Translate functional business requirements from HR, Finance, and other business units into detailed technical specifications and system designs.

Test, validate, and apply PeopleSoft patches, fixes, and application upgrades with a primary focus on security features and compatibility.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex PeopleSoft security, authentication, and access incidents, performing thorough root-cause analysis.

Provide technical assistance and Level 3 support to end-users experiencing application access, authorization, or security issues.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, access matrices, operational runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.

Develop, update, and communicate enterprise security policies, governance protocols, and standard operating procedures across cross-functional teams.

Support module implementations, platform migrations, database refreshes, and related PeopleSoft administrator activities.

Qualifications
Core Technical & PeopleSoft Security Requirements
Education: University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical work experience).

PeopleSoft Experience: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated professional experience with PeopleSoft as a security analyst, systems analyst, administrator, or developer.

Security Architecture Mastery: In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, security models, role-based access control (RBAC), user profiles, and permission lists.

Development & Administration Tools: Hands-on experience utilizing PeopleSoft Application Designer (Classic and Fluid), Data Mover, and Integration Broker.

Security & Access Governance: Proven experience conducting security audits, managing IAM frameworks, and supporting Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multifactor Authentication (MFA) integrations.

Data Security & Protocols: Practical familiarity with encryption principles, SSL/TLS protocols, data masking techniques, and vulnerability mitigation strategies.

Scripting & Programming Acumen: Basic understanding and working knowledge of programming and scripting languages (such as Java, PeopleCode, Python, or PowerShell) to build automation scripts and custom security solutions.

Preferred Technical Assets & Methodologies
Lifecycle Delivery: Experience supporting enterprise PeopleSoft upgrades, tax updates/patching, and system migration projects.
