The Opportunity

Build the Future With Us

Bring your project engineering expertise to complex natural gas infrastructure projects. You’ll play a central role in moving compressor station and related energy projects from conceptual and FEED phases through detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning, connecting multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and field execution to deliver safe, practical, high-quality engineering solutions.

Your Impact

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for natural gas compressor station and related energy infrastructure projects, driving quality, schedule, cost, and technical performance from early design through commissioning.

  • Develop and review key engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, PFDs, Line Lists, Tie-In Lists, Equipment Lists, valve lists, specifications, calculations, datasheets, and engineering registers.

  • Facilitate 3D model reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews, coordinating actions across process, mechanical, piping, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, and controls disciplines.

  • Coordinate technical interfaces with clients, equipment vendors, package suppliers, fabricators, and construction teams, proactively resolving design and execution issues.

  • Manage engineering execution documentation, deliverable registers, schedules, technical risks, interdisciplinary interfaces, design changes, and scope changes while supporting change orders where required.

  • Support cost estimates, procurement activities, technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, risk assessments, and engineering schedules to strengthen project delivery.

  • Drive engineering quality and constructability through technical reviews, responses to field queries, field design changes, vendor coordination, and resolution of site issues.

  • Guide junior engineers and EITs while remaining actively involved in detailed engineering and helping strengthen the broader project engineering team.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or another relevant engineering discipline.

  • Registered P.Eng. with APEGA, or eligible for registration in Alberta.

  • 7 to 10 years of progressive engineering experience in the energy industry, preferably within an EPC/EPCM or consulting environment.

  • Demonstrated Project Engineering experience with natural gas compressor stations, gas processing facilities, pipeline facilities, or similar energy infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of compressor station design and operation, including compressor packages and associated process, mechanical, piping, utility, control, and safety systems.

  • Working knowledge of Canadian natural gas facility requirements, including CSA Z662, ASME B31.3, and applicable Alberta regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical interfaces across process, mechanical, piping, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, and controls.

  • Strong client-facing engineering experience, including facilitating design reviews and technical meetings, communicating design issues and recommendations, and balancing detailed engineering responsibilities with mentorship of junior engineers.
