Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager based in Canada.

The Project Manager will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of software projects, ensuring teams remain aligned and work progresses smoothly from initial planning through release and closure. Working closely with a Lead Project Manager, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Business, and other stakeholders to keep projects organized and on track. You will manage timelines, milestones, delivery plans, and dependencies while identifying risks and addressing blockers before they affect outcomes. The role combines structured project coordination, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced technology environment. You will also help strengthen delivery processes, maintain project governance, and provide stakeholders with reliable progress updates. This is a fully remote opportunity suited to an organized project professional who enjoys bringing people together and supporting successful software delivery.

Accountabilities

You will oversee project coordination and delivery activities, helping cross-functional teams meet agreed objectives, timelines, and quality expectations. Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Coordinate projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, from planning and execution to release and closure.

    • Maintain accurate project plans, timelines, milestones, and delivery trackers using Jira.

    • Coordinate daily activities across Product, Engineering, QA, Business, and other relevant stakeholders.

    • Track deliverables and action items, follow up with owners, and identify delays or blockers early.

    • Organize and facilitate project meetings by preparing agendas and materials, documenting decisions, and following up on action items.

    • Prepare project status updates, dashboards, and management reports to provide visibility into delivery progress.

    • Identify, document, and monitor risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, maintaining RAID logs and escalating delivery risks when necessary.

    • Track scope changes and communicate their potential impact on timelines, resources, and project commitments.

    • Maintain project documentation, decision logs, action trackers, and other delivery records.

    • Monitor progress against milestones and key delivery metrics, including delivery predictability and time to market.

    • Support project governance and ensure teams follow agreed delivery processes and standards.

    • Requirements

The ideal candidate has practical experience coordinating IT or software delivery projects and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. You should bring the following qualifications and skills:

      • 2–3 years of experience in IT project management or delivery, preferably involving software, mobile, or web projects.

      • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, QA, and Business stakeholders.

      • Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.

      • Solid skills in project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, scope management, and change control.

      • Experience with release planning, progress monitoring, issue resolution, and escalation.

      • Knowledge of risk and dependency management, delivery reporting, and KPI tracking.

      • A good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployment processes.

      • Basic experience with effort estimation, capacity tracking, and delivery forecasting.

      • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from different professional backgrounds.

      • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to follow-ups.

      • Problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and confidence managing changing priorities.

      • The ability to build positive working relationships and balance competing stakeholder expectations.

      • Benefits

        • Fully remote, full-time working opportunity.

        • Salary range or initial compensation level shared with candidates during the recruitment process, before employment begins.

        • 28 calendar days of annual vacation.

        • 7 additional wellness days per year for personal needs, recovery, or household matters.

        • Referral bonuses of up to $5,000 for recommending successful candidates.

        • 50% reimbursement for professional training, international conferences, and professional events.

        • Corporate discounts for English lessons.

        • Health support of up to $1,000 gross per year per employee if not eligible for corporate medical insurance. This allowance can be used toward independently purchased health insurance or medical expenses for the employee and close relatives, including a spouse and children.

        • Workplace equipment and setup support, including access to equipped offices or coworking spaces. Employees working elsewhere may receive reimbursement of up to $1,000 gross once every three years for coworking costs or home-office equipment and internet expenses.

        • An internal gamified recognition program where colleagues can award bonuses that can be exchanged for company merchandise, team-building activities, massage certificates, and other rewards.
