Known for its collaborative culture, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong reputation in the market, the company offers employees the opportunity to take ownership, contribute ideas, and make a meaningful impact.
Your new role
Reporting to the Divisional Controller, the Property Accountant will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting of a portfolio of commercial and residential properties. You will oversee month-end close activities, prepare financial statements, perform account reconciliations, manage tenant accounting, and ensure the accuracy of rent rolls, recoveries, CAM reconciliations, and property tax reconciliations.
This is a highly hands-on role within a complex multi-entity environment featuring a sophisticated legal structure and a significant volume of transactions. You will work closely with various operational and finance teams, support budgeting and forecasting initiatives, assist with audit requirements, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of accounting processes, systems, and internal controls. The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where attention to detail, ownership, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
What you'll need to succeed
You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline and possess a minimum of five years of property accounting experience. Experience operating within a multi-entity real estate organization and managing high transaction volumes will be considered a significant asset.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting abilities with advanced Excel skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Experience with real estate accounting systems and complex corporate structures is highly desirable.
What you'll get in return
You will join a growing real estate organization that offers a collaborative, hardworking, and enjoyable work environment where team members are encouraged to take initiative and contribute to the company's continued success.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, a comprehensive group insurance program, and a standard 40-hour work week. Employees benefit from a flexible hybrid work arrangement that includes six work-from-home days per month, with the remainder spent collaborating in-office with the team.
Most importantly, you will gain exposure to an experienced leadership group, a diverse real estate portfolio, and a growing organization that continues to invest in its people, processes, and long-term success.
