Job description

Senior Product Marketing Manager, IT & CIO Audiences

The Asana Product Marketing team fuels business growth and builds a brand customers love. We create campaigns and content that attract new accounts and inspire current ones to grow with us.

We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own how Asana shows up to IT and digital transformation leaders. Your primary audiences are CIOs and IT Operations leaders.

You'll join the Audience Marketing team, the group responsible for how Asana speaks to the specific people and industries we sell into. These buyers are navigating tool consolidation, AI adoption, governance, and the shift to agentic workflows, and you'll turn deep knowledge of their world into technically credible messaging, content the field uses every day, and campaign themes that bring new logos into the pipeline. You'll own the narrative and the sales plays that the field uses for this persona, partnering across PMM, sales and product. You will report to the Director of Product Marketing, Audience Marketing.

What you’ll achieve

  • Own the audience strategy, messaging, and positioning for CIO, digital transformation, and IT Operations personas, aligned to Asana's broader positioning and revenue goals.

  • Become the expert on the trends driving stack change: AI adoption, tool sprawl and consolidation, security and governance and modernization.

  • Map how these buyers decide, including budget ownership, workflows, evaluation criteria, and the roles of technical influencers and executive sponsors.

  • Create technically credible content across the buyer journey, such as POVs, solution narratives, demos, executive briefings, and whitepapers.

  • Act as the subject matter expert across Asana's portfolio, partnering with Core PMMs to connect products to IT priorities, such as AI governance, tool consolidation, and scaling AI agents safely across the enterprise.

  • Equip the sales field for technical conversations with discovery guides, objection handling, competitive positioning, battlecards, and customer proof.

  • Shape new-logo acquisition campaigns in close partnership with Campaigns to generate net-new pipeline.

  • Represent the voice of the customer by bringing IT audience and market feedback into product and positioning decisions.

  • Create sales enablement and ensure the success of sales plays.

About you

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, audience marketing, or GTM at an enterprise software company.

  • Deep understanding of IT and technical buyers, including how stack, vendor, and budget decisions get made.

  • Experience in ITSM, developer tools, AI and automation platforms, or work management preferred.

  • Ability to explain complex technical and AI concepts clearly to both technical practitioners and executive audiences.

  • Comfortable in fast-moving categories where the narrative changes quarterly, with a point of view on where the market is heading.

  • Field-tested storyteller and writer who turns research into sales-ready content and pipeline-generating campaigns.

  • Data-driven, with experience using qualitative and quantitative research to set strategy and measure impact.

  • Strong presenter, equally at home in a CIO briefing or a sales enablement session, and a sharp editor who holds content to a high quality bar.

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $135,000 -$160,000 CAD The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits for this role.

We strive to provide equitable and competitive benefits packages that support our employees worldwide and include:

  • Mental health, wellness & fitness benefits

  • Career coaching & support

  • Inclusive family building benefits

  • Long-term savings or retirement plans

  • In-office culinary options to cater to your dietary preferences

These are just some of the benefits we offer, and benefits may vary based on role, country, and local regulations. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits for this role.
