The Opportunity

At KidsAbility, our Speech-Language Pathologists play a vital role in helping children and youth develop the communication skills they need to participate fully at home, at school, and in their communities. • Assess, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized speech and language therapy plans that support meaningful participation and growth.
  • Collaborate closely with families, educators, community partners, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve positive client outcomes.
  • Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and direction to Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDAs) to support effective service delivery.
  • Participate in team initiatives, service planning, and continuous quality improvement activities that enhance client and family experiences.

In addition, you will bring:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and SharePoint.

The following skills and experience will be considered strong assets:

  • Experience supporting children and youth with a broad range of developmental, physical, and communication needs.
  • Knowledge and experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as well as assessment and intervention for articulation and phonology, motor speech, voice, resonance, fluency, and feeding/swallowing disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, consult, coach, and build relationships with families, educators, community partners, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Strong caseload management, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience using AlayaCare or other electronic documentation and charting systems.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.

Valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle to support work across multiple sites as needed, and within the service area, is required.
