As a cybersecurity generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing comprehensive security solutions and experience across various domains, maintaining the protection of client systems and data. You will apply a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to address diverse security challenges effectively.

As a Cybersecurity Generalist Senior Associate at PwC, you’ll help our team deliver current client projects. Work alongside experienced colleagues and technical specialists to assess security risks, develop practical recommendations and create high-quality client deliverables. Build your consulting skills while contributing to real cybersecurity challenges. You’ll:

  • Support cybersecurity engagements, working with PwC and client teams to meet agreed scope, timelines and outcomes.
  • Contribute to security assessments, control testing and risk analysis, turning findings into practical recommendations and client-ready deliverables.
  • Collaborate with specialists across data protection, identity and access management, cloud and network security, vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Build trusted client relationships, communicate progress clearly and flag risks, delays or scope changes early.
  • Help track project hours, costs and milestones, maintain delivery quality and share lessons learned.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Strong client service, teamwork and stakeholder-management skills, with clear written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • A broad understanding of cybersecurity strategy and risk, including data protection, identity and access management, application, network and cloud security, vulnerability management, business resilience and third-party risk, with awareness of AI-related security considerations.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack—including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel and Purview—to support client security assessments and project delivery.
  • Experience in governance, risk and compliance (GRC), including security strategies, operating models, policies, control testing and risk monitoring, using consulting methods and frameworks.
  • Understanding of ISTG 33, NIST CSF and OSFI B-13, with experience applying security frameworks and regulatory guidance in a business environment.
  • Cybersecurity experience across industries such as financial services, telecom, power, technology and retail.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or ITIL are desirable.
  • Secret Clearance, as a minimum, is mandatory for this role and a condition of employment. Before applying, review the Government of Canada eligibility requirements.
  • PwC Canada is committed to cultivating an inclusive, hybrid work environment. Exact expectations for your team can be discussed with your interviewer.

This position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member.

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. AI also helps us better predict successful hires by reviewing all applicants for a role and the relationship between your skills, experience and likely success at PwC Canada. While AI supports parts of our recruitment process, final hiring decisions always involve human review.
