Delivery Manager / Application Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Delivery Manager / Application Architect to lead end-to-end software delivery, product engineering initiatives, and architectural governance for cloud-hosted and AI-enabled enterprise applications.

This hybrid leadership role combines strong program and delivery management with hands-on application architecture and solution design expertise. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams through the complete software delivery lifecycle—from business discovery and requirements through architecture, development, integration, testing, production deployment, and ongoing operational support.

The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while ensuring delivery commitments are met across scope, quality, budget, and timelines.

Experience supporting RFPs, proposals, solution development, effort estimation, and client workshops is required. Knowledge of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, SaaS modernization, and cloud adoption is highly valued. Healthcare experience across payer, provider, revenue cycle management (RCM), coordination of benefits (COB), and healthcare analytics is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Program Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of software products, enhancements, modernization initiatives, and transformation programs.
  • Own project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and escalation management.
  • Ensure delivery commitments are achieved within agreed scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Drive Agile delivery practices, sprint and release planning, and program governance.
  • Provide executive-level status reporting, performance updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Lead delivery planning and contribute to proposals, RFP responses, solutioning, and effort estimation.
  • Identify delivery risks and proactively develop mitigation and recovery plans.

Application Architecture & Solution Design

  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-hosted applications and AI-enabled enterprise solutions.
  • Develop architectural blueprints, technical specifications, integration designs, and solution roadmaps.
  • Provide architectural governance and technical oversight across product engineering and delivery initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, frameworks, and integration patterns.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into practical, scalable technical architectures.
  • Support cloud adoption, SaaS transformation, application modernization, and platform optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership for CI/CD, DevOps, release management, and engineering best practices.
  • Work across cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.

Integration, Testing & Production Readiness

  • Provide technical leadership throughout development, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and production support.
  • Partner with development and QA teams to identify and resolve integration and technical issues.
  • Review test scenarios, acceptance criteria, integration points, and overall solution readiness.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues and drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure applications meet functional, technical, security, performance, and operational requirements.
  • Support production deployment planning, operational readiness, and client handover.
  • Develop and maintain architecture, integration, technical, and operational documentation.
  • Conduct technical onboarding and stakeholder training as required.

Client & Team Leadership

  • Serve as a primary technical and delivery contact for clients, business stakeholders, and technology leadership.
  • Lead client discovery sessions, architecture workshops, solution discussions, and alignment meetings.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects, DevOps, and Support teams.
  • Mentor architects, engineering leads, and delivery professionals while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams.

Operational Excellence & Modernization

  • Oversee production operations, application support, service reliability, and operational governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, engineering practices, and operational capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, SaaS transformation, application modernization, and cloud optimization.
  • Promote scalable, reusable architecture and engineering standards across engagements.
  • Support the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and intelligent automation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in software development, technology delivery, product engineering, and/or application architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience managing complex software delivery projects, programs, or transformation initiatives.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Application Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or equivalent role designing and integrating enterprise applications.
  • 8+ years of experience in client engagement, stakeholder management, executive communications, and technical presentations.
  • 5+ years of experience managing production environments, application support, operational governance, and service reliability.
  • 2+ years of experience working with major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps, release management, SIT, UAT, and production deployment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures, solution designs, and executable delivery plans.
  • Strong project planning, risk management, governance, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client-facing communication skills.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience or demonstrated knowledge of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, or AI-enabled enterprise solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience with AI services and platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, AWS AI Services, or comparable technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting client workshops, business discovery sessions, solution workshops, and technical onboarding.
  • 4+ years of experience with SaaS transformation, application modernization, cloud migration, or cloud adoption initiatives.
  • 4+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, particularly Payer, Provider, RCM, COB, healthcare analytics, or related domains.
  • Experience contributing to RFPs, proposals, estimates, statements of work, and pre-sales solutioning.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and modern application platforms.
  • PMP, ITIL, cloud, architecture, or other relevant professional certifications are an asset.

Key Attributes

The successful candidate is a hands-on technology leader who can move comfortably between executive-level client discussions and detailed technical architecture conversations. They should be able to own delivery, challenge technical decisions, when necessary, remove delivery obstacles, and provide practical architectural guidance throughout the engagement lifecycle.
