Job description

Company

Sixone is at the forefront of revolutionizing the advanced recycling industry with our mission to integrate circular recycling for blended plastics to eliminate landfill waste. Our goal is ambitious yet simple: to radically enhance the economics of recycled materials through innovative processing and materials technologies.

We are looking for a proactive Operations Coordinator to keep our operations running smoothly and help teams and leadership move faster. You will coordinate cross-functional initiatives, maintain the reports and trackers that keep projects on course, and document the processes that keep the business running efficiently. Workplace and administrative logistics are part of the role, but operational support is the core of it. This execution-focused role suits a highly organized person who likes making operations run well.

About You

  • We care as much about how you work as what you know. The person who thrives in this role:

  • Takes ownership. You treat the details as yours to get right, follow through without being chased, and close loops instead of leaving them open.

  • Has a bias for action. You would rather start, learn, and adjust than wait for perfect certainty, and you know when to check in before moving.

  • Defaults to service. You enjoy making others' work easier and take pride in being the person the team can rely on.

  • Sweats the details without losing the big picture. You catch the small things others miss while keeping sight of why the work matters.

  • Stays humble and curious. You ask questions, own what you don't know yet, and treat every task, however small, as worth doing well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Documentation Support

  • Organize schedules, prepare materials for team and cross-functional meetings, and keep stakeholders aligned on next steps across initiatives.

  • Gather data and inputs from existing sources and update recurring reports and trackers ahead of leadership analysis.

  • Take notes, capture decisions, and distribute summaries and action items.

  • Conduct first-pass research on vendors, tools, and options for leadership to evaluate.

  • Write clear SOPs and playbooks and maintain the team internal knowledge base.

  • Provide direct support across a range of operational and administrative tasks, priorities, and ad-hoc projects.

Facility & Vendor Management

  • Monitor, order, and restock office inventory and kitchen supplies.

  • Oversee daily workplace needs to maintain an organized environment.

  • Interact with external service providers and property management.

  • Assist with basic procurement tracking and invoice processing.

  • Ensure the workspace is tidy, safe, and welcoming for guests.

Qualifications

  • Experience: One to three years of experience in operations, facilities, or administrative support.

  • Environment: Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.

  • Tech Savvy: Strong experience with Google Workspace, Windows operating systems, Slack, and Airtable.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, strong time management, and sharp attention to detail.

  • Traits: Proactive, resourceful problem solver who handles confidential information with high discretion.

Nice to Have

  • Interest in operations as a career path.

  • Experience in a startup, lab, hardware, or fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Our team lives by a set of values, and we are looking for someone whose way of working reflects them:

  • Challenge Ideas Constructively - comfortable asking questions, flagging when something is not working, and respectfully suggesting better ways of doing things rather than just accepting the status quo

  • Data Driven Action - grounds work in facts and accurate information; keeps clean records and trackers, and brings evidence rather than guesswork when surfacing issues

  • Embrace Planned Risks - willing to try new approaches and propose improvements to how things run, thinking through the trade-offs before acting

  • Constant Learning - curious and eager to grow, picks up new tools and processes quickly, and treats feedback as a way to get better

  • Trust but Validate - takes ownership and works independently, while double-checking details and verifying accuracy before things go out the door

Why Join Us?

Sixone offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth, technical challenges, and leadership experience. Our team values communication, teamwork, and rigorous problem-solving to tackle industry challenges. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for career advancement. Be part of a pioneering company driving the future of chemical recycling and sustainability and contribute to solving real-world environmental challenges while working with passionate and dedicated colleagues.

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
