HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Assist with the review of LNG Canada’s Annual Work Program and Budget and other key planning documents by compiling information, conducting preliminary analysis, and preparing summaries.
  • Track financial and operational performance, including key measures, progress against plan, variances, and emerging performance gaps.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, presentations, and management updates to support planning and performance discussions.
  • Gather data and perform preliminary financial, commercial, project, and cost analysis for review by senior team members.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect information, validate assumptions and inputs, and support the timely completion of planning and reporting deliverables.
  • Maintain planning models, reporting templates, supporting schedules, and documentation to promote consistency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, reporting, analytical tools, and team processes.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • More than three years of relevant experience in finance, planning, accounting, business analysis, or a related analytical role; relevant co-op or internship experience may be considered.
  • Energy industry experience and exposure to joint venture, LNG, or large-scale project environments would be considered assets.
  • Working toward a CPA, CFA, MBA, or other relevant designation would be considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to compile, validate, and interpret financial and operational data with guidance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare clear analysis, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization; experience with SAP S/4HANA, Analysis for Office, Power BI, or similar reporting tools would be considered an asset.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR TEAM:

  • Flexible work arrangements which include a compressed work week with Friday afternoons off for office-based roles

  • Dress for your day - a casual yet professional environment

  • Ability to contribute to a dynamic organization with large growth ambitions

  • Competitive compensation and bonus programs

  • Top tier benefit package, including a generous Health and Wellness Spending Account and Savings Plan

  • Making a positive difference in our communities through volunteerism, community support and providing opportunities to those in the areas where we operate
