Job Description

Looking for a role that’s anything but ordinary?

Join our team at Fairmont Heritage Place, At Nature’s Door, in one of Whistler’s most beautiful settings. This active, hands-on role offers a unique mix of residence and property upkeep, light maintenance, and personalised Owner and Guest service, with plenty of variety from one day to the next.

You might start your day preparing a residence for an Owner’s arrival, pack linen for our cleaning team, help resolve a household maintenance issue, head outside to keep the property looking its best, or take Owners and Guests into the village in our property shuttle. Whatever the day brings, you’ll play an important part in making sure At Nature’s Door is beautifully cared for and our Owners feel truly at home.

One of the best parts of this role is the people. Our Owners are wonderful to work with, and getting to know them while helping make their time At Nature’s Door special is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. You’ll also be part of a small, supportive team where everyone pitches in and where initiative, reliability and a positive attitude are genuinely valued.

If you’re looking for variety, great people and a workplace surrounded by everything Whistler has to offer, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Upkeep & Maintenance

  • Keep entrances, walkways, common areas and shared facilities clean, safe and well presented.
  • Complete minor maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues.

  • Provide warm, professional service and respond promptly to Owner and Guest requests.
  • Assist with household and technology issues, including TVs, Wi-Fi and appliances.
  • Drive the property shuttle as requested.
  • Share local Whistler knowledge and recommendations.
  • Resolve minor concerns and help create an exceptional Owner and Guest experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Residence Preparation

  • Prepare residences for arrivals and complete post-stay tasks, including linens, amenities, trash/recycling removal and inspections.
  • Check household essentials and equipment to ensure residences are arrival-ready.
  • Monitor supplies and assist with inventory, purchasing and periodic housekeeping tasks.

Seasonal & Outdoor Operations

  • Maintain safe, accessible outdoor areas, including winter manual snow removal.
  • Test and maintain pool water quality and equipment.
  • Manage garbage and recycling areas and maintain property presentation.

Qualifications

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine enjoyment of helping people.
  • Excellent attention to detail, initiative and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to juggle a variety of tasks throughout the day.
  • The flexibility to work both independently and as part of a small team in a dynamic environment.
  • Good communication skills and a natural service mindset.
  • The physical stamina to handle an active role involving indoor and outdoor work, linen deliveries and seasonal manual snow removal.
  • The ability to lift up to 40lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Confidence using smartphones and tablets for work orders, inspections and communication.
  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities, hospitality or a related trade is an asset, but a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
  • Reliability, accountability and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected.
