Job description

If you've run a retail floor, you already know this job!

You know what a good Saturday looks like before the doors open. You run the pre-shift huddle. You can tell within an hour which Associate is going to need a hand, and you coach them in the moment rather than saving it for a review. You keep the floor sharp, the standards high, and the customer experience identical whether it's 10am on a Tuesday or the busiest weekend of the Quarter.

We're looking for that person to lead the Sales Floor at Caivan's New Home Sales Gallery. It's the same discipline you've built in retail – coaching a Team, building a schedule, holding brand standards, owning the numbers – applied to the largest purchase our customers will ever make.

You don't need new home experience. We'll teach you the product, the paperwork and the process. We're hiring for how you run a floor and how you develop the people on it.

Compensation includes a base salary plus a monthly incentive program for added earning potential.

Why Caivan?

Industry Leading Wages – $75,000 + a monthly incentive program

Annual Paid Operations Shutdown (in addition to Paid Vacation Days, subject to operational requirements)

Complimentary Daily Lunch Program

Free Parking

Company-Paid Health & Dental Coverage

Coordinating Benefits

Life Insurance where applicable

Group Benefits & Perks (including Goodlife & Bell Mobile)

Use of ADP (HR Portal) – easily access your employee information, paystubs & schedule time off

Bi-Weekly Payments directly to your bank account

You Will Bring

Required:

  • 3+ years leading a team of sales associates on a retail sales floor – Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or equivalent
  • Direct experience hiring, coaching and scheduling a Team
  • A track record of driving sales results through your people, not only through your own selling
  • Fluency with KPIs, targets and reporting — you use numbers to coach, not just to report
  • Warm, polished, professional communication
  • Availability for evenings and weekends — this is a customer-facing floor
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • Proficiency with MS Office

Helpful, but we'll teach you:

  • New home, real estate, or big-ticket consultative sales experience
  • CRM ownership at a Team level
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on Sales, Marketing or a related field
  • Bilingual (English & French), is considered an asset

What you’ll Own

Your Team - The Sales Associates

  • Hire, onboard and train new Sales staff
  • Coach every day: huddles, real-time feedback, product knowledge, performance conversations
  • Build the schedule and manage floor coverage against expected traffic
  • Set the tone – a professional, motivated, service-oriented culture that holds Caivan's Sales Standards

Your floor

  • Own opening and closing procedures and overall Sales Gallery readiness
  • Keep offices and model homes to Caivan's presentation and housekeeping standards
  • Act as the primary escalation point for customer concerns and objections
  • Lead by example in front of customers, not just behind the scenes

Your numbers

  • Own CRM discipline – 100% of customer interactions logged, every time
  • Validate contract accuracy and coach against the gaps you find
  • Hold the Team to compliance milestones including mortgage pre-approval and deposit collection
  • Stay expert on homes, floor plans, pricing, options, incentives, inventory and release schedules
  • Partner with Marketing on promotions, signage and community events

Good to Know

  • This is a full time, on-site role across our Oakville Sales Gallery, Mississauga and Caledon
  • This is a customer-facing role requiring regular presence on the Sales Floor
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and computer use may be required
  • Evening & weekend work is required, with scheduling based on Sales Gallery hours & business needs
  • Flexibility to support special events, launches, and peak sales periods may be required
  • Occasional visits to construction sites or model homes may be required
  • Protective footwear and headgear must be worn if visiting any active construction sites

We carefully review all applications and will contact candidates whose skills, experience, and qualifications most closely align with the requirements of the position.
