Role Overview

Armstrong Collective is evolving from a report-driven organization to one that uses trusted data, insights, and self-service analytics to make better business decisions. The position plays a key role in this transformation by ensuring the Data & Analytics team focuses on the highest-value business opportunities and delivers scalable, reusable data products.

As an individual contributor, this role translates complex business needs into clear product priorities, builds strong partnerships across the organization, and drives adoption of data products that improve decision-making. Success requires ownership, collaboration, sound judgment, adaptability, continuous learning, and a commitment to achieving meaningful business outcomes.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

• Partner with the Director, Data to define and prioritize data and analytics capabilities that support organizational objectives.

• Translate enterprise data strategy into an outcome-based product portfolio, roadmap, and clear lifecycle decisions.

• Identify opportunities to create reusable data products, datasets, and insights that deliver value across multiple teams.

• Balance immediate business needs with long-term investments in scalable, reliable, and trusted capabilities.

• Define product value, users, measures of success, ownership, and dependencies to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

Discovery, Prioritization & Decision Support

• Lead discovery activities to understand business problems, user needs, decisions to be enabled, root causes, and expected value.

• Challenge solution-focused requests and distinguish between reporting needs, analytical questions, and product opportunities.

• Own and continuously improve intake, prioritization, and decision-making frameworks.

• Evaluate opportunities based on business impact, strategic alignment, effort, risk, urgency, and potential for reuse.

• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and recommend data-driven solutions that advance organizational goals.

Product Delivery & Stakeholder Partnership

• Partner with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business leaders to scope, build, launch, and enhance data products.

• Translate business requirements into clear outcomes, product requirements, and acceptance criteria.

• Build trusted relationships through open communication, active listening, follow-through, and respect for diverse perspectives.

• Adapt communication styles to different audiences and keep stakeholders informed of priorities, trade-offs, progress, and outcomes.

• Seek feedback, share knowledge, and collaborate effectively to deliver solutions that meet business and user needs.

Product Adoption, Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Own the end-to-end user experience of data products, ensuring solutions are intuitive, trusted, and aligned to decision-making needs.

• Establish adoption plans that support self-service analytics through enablement, education, and ongoing user engagement.

• Monitor product performance, including adoption, usability, reliability, data quality, business impact, and realized value.

• Use evidence and feedback to improve, consolidate, or retire products as business needs evolve.

• Promote data literacy, modern product practices, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.

• Partner with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence teams to ensure data products effectively support analytical and operational use cases.

What You Bring

• Strong product management expertise and the ability to connect data investments to measurable business outcomes.

• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, resilience, and sound judgment when navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.

• Excellent relationship-building, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including discovery, prioritization, root-cause analysis, and data-informed decision-making.

• A collaborative approach that values diverse perspectives, builds trust, and supports shared success.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and improving how work gets done.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of data, analytics, platform, or enterprise products.

• Proven ability to translate strategy into roadmaps, priorities, measurable outcomes, and delivered value.

• Experience in product discovery, stakeholder engagement, adoption, and product lifecycle management.

• Strong understanding of modern data concepts, including data warehousing, modelling, governance, business intelligence, APIs, forecasting, and self-service analytics.

• Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

• Experience working within modern product operating models and agile delivery environments.

• Experience with cloud data platforms, SQL, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence is considered an asset.

Work Environment

• Corporate Office – Vancouver based

• Ability for hybrid in office (a minimum of 3 days a week in office).
