About Us

Many people will spend their lives in a Marcon home, so we have to build it right, every time. Founded in 1985, Marcon is an established real estate company specializing in acquiring, developing, building and managing properties across Metro Vancouver. A focus on quality and craft is what the business was built on, giving us a trusted name in the construction community. These principles have remained a focus as we’ve expanded into the real estate development and operations space, managing our own projects from conception through to execution, completion, and more recently ongoing management.

We have a commitment to providing elevated experiences at every touch point between our people, our buildings, and our communities. None of this is possible without a hardworking team, working together, to make it all happen. That’s why we’re looking for people who are eager to join an intelligent and motivated team to create something bigger than themselves and build communities that will impact a neighbourhood in infinite ways.

Job Description

Marcon is seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to provide reliable, responsive IT support across our Vancouver office and construction sites throughout the Lower Mainland. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Vancouver-based IT support, helping employees stay connected, productive, and supported in their day-to-day work.

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will take a lead role in resolving technical issues, coordinating service requests, supporting hardware and software deployments, and maintaining dependable workplace technology. You'll work closely with our systems administrators to support IT security, system improvements, and technology initiatives across the business.

Beyond technical expertise, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people. You'll support colleagues across all levels of the organization, from executives to construction site teams, bringing patience, professionalism, and a customer-first approach to every interaction.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and being a trusted resource for others. As the Vancouver lead, you'll help ensure consistent IT support across office and field environments, including endpoint devices, Microsoft 365, meeting room technology, and day-to-day technical operations.

You'll also contribute to security operations, including phishing awareness, device compliance, and access management, while helping employees confidently adopt approved digital and AI tools such as Claude. Working within a collaborative IT team, you'll have the opportunity to improve the employee technology experience and contribute to Marcon's evolving IT capabilities.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 7+ years of desktop, endpoint, or IT support experience, ideally supporting multiple office or field locations.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Windows deployment, device management, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and networking fundamentals.

  • Service Management: Experience using ticketing systems such as Jira to prioritize, manage, and resolve technical requests.

  • Workplace Technology: Experience supporting hardware, mobile devices, printers, and meeting room technology, including Microsoft Teams Rooms and Neat Bar devices.

  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to providing responsive, professional support to colleagues at all levels.

  • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Security Awareness: Familiarity with endpoint security, phishing response, device compliance, and identity and access management practices.

  • Digital & AI Fluency: Practical experience using AI assistants such as Claude, with an understanding of responsible AI use and the ability to help others adopt new tools.

  • Mobility: A valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to a vehicle for travel between Lower Mainland locations.

Additional Assets

Experience with Microsoft Defender, conditional access, multifactor authentication, and security alert triage would be valuable. Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200, or SC-300 are also considered assets.

What We Offer

Marcon is committed to building an inclusive, inspired, and high-performance team culture where our Core Values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Passion, and Excellence guide how we show up every day. If you are at the top of your game or want to find an environment to push you to it and if you want to find like-minded teams that strive for innovation and continuous improvement, we want to hear from you! Our competitive compensation package has been designed to reward our employees’ skills, competencies and performance that align with our culture.
