Job description

About the Team

The Dasher & Logistics team ensures every delivery is completed with speed, accuracy, and a positive experience for consumers, merchants, and Dashers. We own the health of our delivery marketplace — including cost, quality, efficiency, fulfillment, and sustainable growth.

Within this organization, the Canada team owns end-to-end marketplace performance for the country. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Marketing, and Operations to operate and improve one of DoorDash’s most dynamic and complex markets.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations to lead marketplace performance for Dasher & Logistics in Canada. This role sits at the center of the country’s delivery engine and is accountable for results across delivery speed, quality, cost efficiency, supply-demand balance, acquisition, retention, and marketplace integrity.

You will translate company and regional goals into clear execution plans for Canada and serve as a key decision-maker across critical marketplace levers, including pay strategy, incentives, supply programs, re-engagement initiatives, and cost controls. You will also own credit, refund, and fraud-related costs in Canada, partnering cross-functionally to improve customer experience while maintaining disciplined financial performance. You will build a high-performing team that owns each part of the system and empowers the next set of leaders at DoorDash.

Success in this role means consistently delivering a reliable and high-quality delivery experience while balancing growth and cost efficiency. You will operate in a fast-moving environment, lead structured analyses to diagnose performance gaps, quickly test new hypotheses, and drive measurable, durable improvements across the business.

You will report into a Senior Director on our Dasher & Logistics team within Strategy & Operations. We expect this role to be hybrid with some time in-office and some time remote.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Own end-to-end business outcomes for Canada, including delivery speed, quality, cost per order, credit and refund costs, fraud exposure, marketplace balance, and retention
  • Lead a team of managers who each own a workstream, setting direction and developing leaders who can take on more over time
  • Define the country-level operating strategy and translate it into clear weekly, monthly, and quarterly priorities
  • Manage key marketplace levers including pay strategy, incentives, targeted supply programs, and re-engagement efforts
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Marketing, and Operations to align on priorities and deliver shared outcomes
  • Make thoughtful tradeoff decisions between cost, growth, and customer experience to protect long-term marketplace health
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce defects, and strengthen financial performance

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or a related field, including a track record of leading people managers, developing leaders, and building high-performing teams
  • You have owned complex business areas with accountability for financial and operational results
  • You are highly analytical and comfortable using data and AI tools to diagnose issues, prioritize actions, and measure impact
  • You have experience operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with multiple competing priorities
  • You are comfortable influencing cross-functional partners and aligning stakeholders around clear decisions

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
