Job description

We use cutting-edge technology to help Canadians become much more financially successful and secure.

At QFG, we combine human-centric collaboration with AI-driven innovation to redefine financial services. The ideal candidate will be a catalyst for change, using AI to transform and deliver unparalleled customer experiences and shaping a future where AI empowers our teams to do their best work.

Join our diverse, inclusive, and hybrid workplace to unleash your creativity and nurture your curiosity without limits. If you share this sense of infinite possibility, come shape your future at QFG.

What's in it for you as an employee of QFG?

  • Health & wellbeing resources and programs

  • Paid vacation, personal, and sick days for work-life balance

  • Competitive compensation and benefits packages

  • Work-life balance in a hybrid environment with at least 3 days in office

  • Career growth and development opportunities

  • Opportunities to contribute to community causes

  • Work with diverse team members in an inclusive and collaborative environment

This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

We're looking for our next Senior Product Designer. Could It Be You?

Most companies say design matters. We restructured around it. At QFG, design shapes company strategy, and the bar keeps rising — the Senior Product Designer is here to set that bar, not inherit it. The status quo is the thing we're hiring against. This designer owns problems end to end, questions how we work as readily as what we ship, and raises the bar for the people around them.

Need more details? Keep reading…

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Taking a problem from a fuzzy idea to a shipped product. Nothing gets handed off, and nothing gets thrown over a wall — it's yours, start to finish.

  • Owning outcomes with full autonomy from day one. We move fast, and the work carries your name.

  • Stealing superpowers. Everyone here is exceptional at something and will happily show you how it's done; you'll be teaching yours before long.

  • Questioning how we work, not just what we ship. Some of our favourite experiments started as "what if we just tried…"

  • Leaving the design system better than you found it.

  • Noticing the paper cuts nobody filed a ticket for, and fixing them. We love people who can't help it.

So are YOU our next Senior Product Designer? You are if you…

  • Have worked inside a mature design team before, where critique, process, and systems are familiar territory

  • Have curiosity as a default, and try things before anyone asks

  • Want a team that pushes you, and don't have a ceiling in mind

Additional Information…

  • This posting is for multiple Senior Product Designer positions. You may work across trading, banking, or products that don't have names yet — we'll find the spot where you're strongest.

  • We care about the quality of your work, not your years. If you're an exceptional intermediate designer, we genuinely want to see your portfolio.

  • We're based in Toronto and we like being in a room together, so hybrid is our default. It's not a filter. If you're the right designer, we'll figure out the rest.

Compensation Information:

  • The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
