About the Role

The Senior Technical Product Manager, APIs & Integrations will be a key member of the Product team. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our API and integration products, including strategy, roadmap, feature definition, and execution. You will define how ComPsych connects with the broader ecosystem of customer systems, technology vendors, and strategic partners, treating APIs and integrations as products in their own right, with defined users, measurable outcomes, and a clear point of view on where to invest.

Your role will serve as the connective tissue between our clinical and absence operations, sales, customer success, implementation, partner, and technology teams, ensuring that we deliver best-in-class, integrated solutions that meet member needs, strengthen our product ecosystem, and drive core business outcomes. As a member of the ComPsych team, we promise you the opportunity to collaborate with smart, driven colleagues and to continuously expand and strengthen your skills. This position reports to the Director of Platform Products and Strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Be the product thought leader and own the vision and roadmap for our API and integration portfolio, driving the strategy, requirements, and prioritization for how ComPsych products are accessed, extended, and connected, and execute with cross-functional engineering and design teams to deliver on it
  • Develop and communicate a clear point of view on the API roadmap, including API design standards, versioning and deprecation, security and authentication models, developer experience, and the balance between build, buy, and partner
  • Own the integration strategy for our product ecosystem, identifying and prioritizing the HRIS, payroll, benefits, leave and absence, carrier, identity, and other partner integrations that create the most value for customers and for ComPsych
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with technology vendors and strategic partners; shape integration requirements, commercial and technical terms of engagement, and joint go-to-market plans that benefit the broader product ecosystem
  • Own and manage the product backlog, writing detailed stories, mitigating risk, and unblocking the team to maintain high delivery velocity
  • Synthesize customer, partner, and market needs into product requirements and drive alignment with leadership on business value
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, and Architecture on API contracts, data models, authentication, performance, reliability, and monitoring so that integrations are scalable, secure, and supportable
  • Define and track success metrics for APIs and integrations, such as adoption, time to implement, integration reliability, partner-sourced revenue, and customer satisfaction, treating features as measurable experiments that drive outcomes over output and using results to guide investment
  • Adopt AI for research, requirements, and prototyping; actively look for opportunities to leverage AI and automation to reduce implementation effort, reduce operational friction, and improve the customer and partner experience
  • Lead workshops and engage with customers, partners, and internal teams to explore product opportunities, validate assumptions through rapid experimentation, and support product development, customer success, and business development
  • Enable customer-facing and implementation teams with product knowledge, API and integration documentation, go-to-market direction, and competitive positioning
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with demonstrated experience owning API, integration, or platform products, including building and communicating API roadmaps, API-as-a-product thinking, lifecycle management, versioning, and developer experience
  • Strong technical foundation, with the ability to read and review API specifications (e.g., OpenAPI), reason about data models and system architecture, and partner credibly with Engineering, Security, and Architecture to navigate complex workflow, data, and integration systems
  • Working knowledge of REST, webhooks, event-driven architectures, OAuth/SSO, API gateways, and common data exchange formats (e.g., JSON, XML, flat-file/SFTP)
  • Experience working with vendors and partners to build, launch, and scale integrations that expand a company's product ecosystem, including negotiating scope, managing dependencies, and driving joint outcomes
  • Experience in an agile development environment, writing detailed stories, managing backlog health, sequencing incremental value delivery, and delivering with cross-functional teams
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving, with a track record of defining and measuring success through clear business metrics
  • Ability to drive initiatives forward with influence, without formal authority, with a collaborative working style and the confidence to navigate ambiguity
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, dependable, positive, and professional, with the critical thinking and multi-tasking skills to meet established timeframes

Preferred

  • Experience in HR tech, leave / absence management, benefits, or digital health, including HRIS, payroll, and carrier ecosystems (strongly preferred)
  • Technical background (e.g., computer science degree, engineering or solutions architecture experience)
  • Familiarity with integration patterns and platforms (e.g., iPaaS, middleware, partner marketplaces)

Other Requirements

  • Consistent and reliable high-speed internet and workspace free from distraction, disruption, or noise is required
  • Ability to be present on camera during work-related trainings, meetings, and/or events
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full benefits package, including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, robust EAP, wellness program, and much more
  • The salary range for this position is 140,000 - 195,000 CAD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, and scheduled hours.
