Job description

About OneRiver Software

OneRiver Software is a rapidly growing enterprise software company focused on solving one of the biggest challenges facing asset-intensive organizations: getting maintenance work planned, scheduled, and executed.

With more than 25 years of experience in maintenance software, OneRiver provides cloud-based solutions that enhance existing ERP environments. Our solutions, Arrow and Cornerstone, integrate with SAP and Oracle environments and connect critical maintenance data across ERP and other systems.

Our customers operate in asset-intensive industries including oil & gas, mining, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and food & beverage, where maintenance performance directly affects reliability, productivity, safety, and profitability.

The Opportunity

The Software Implementation Consultant is responsible for guiding new customers through the implementation and adoption of OneRiver's software.

This role goes beyond configuring software and completing a project plan. The Consultant will work closely with customers to understand their business, configure and implement the OneRiver solution, train users, drive adoption, and help the customer achieve meaningful business results.

The successful candidate will become a trusted advisor to customers throughout the implementation process and will ensure that customers are confident, engaged, and prepared to get maximum value from their investment in OneRiver.

Key Responsibilities

Software Implementation

  • Lead the day-to-day implementation of OneRiver's software for new customers.

  • Work with customers to understand their business processes, requirements, objectives, and desired outcomes.

  • Translate customer requirements into effective OneRiver software configurations and workflows.

  • Develop and manage implementation plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Configure and test the OneRiver solution to meet customer requirements.

  • Coordinate customer data, integrations, testing, and other implementation activities as required.

  • Identify implementation risks and proactively resolve issues.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure the solution is ready for launch.

  • Coordinate the transition from implementation to ongoing customer support and relationship management.

Customer Training & User Adoption

  • Develop and deliver engaging training for customer users, administrators, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure users understand not only how to use the software, but why it matters to their business.

  • Develop training materials, documentation, demonstrations, and other adoption resources.

  • Identify areas where users may be struggling with adoption and develop practical solutions.

  • Monitor customer engagement and adoption during the implementation and early stages of deployment.

  • Encourage customers to incorporate OneRiver into their day-to-day business processes.

  • Help customer champions and managers become effective advocates for the OneRiver solution.

Delivering Customer Value

  • Develop a clear understanding of what the customer wants to achieve through the implementation.

  • Help customers identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, visibility, and business performance using OneRiver.

  • Establish success measures and help customers track progress toward their objectives.

  • Proactively identify additional capabilities within the OneRiver platform that can provide meaningful value.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess results, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure the customer is realizing the expected benefits.

  • Communicate customer successes, challenges, and feedback to OneRiver's internal teams.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong, professional relationships with customer contacts at both the user and management levels.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation process.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding project status, issues, decisions, and next steps.

  • Work closely with the Director of Customer Service to ensure a seamless overall customer experience.

  • Escalate significant issues appropriately and work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve them.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Product, Development, and other OneRiver teams.

  • Provide feedback to Product and Development regarding customer requirements and implementation challenges.

  • Help improve OneRiver's implementation methodology, processes, documentation, and training materials.

  • Capture best practices and lessons learned to make future implementations more efficient and successful.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in software implementation, consulting, customer success, business analysis, training, or a related field.

  • Experience implementing business software and working directly with customers.

  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into software solutions.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and training skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple implementation activities and customer priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Comfortable working with both business users and technical resources.

  • Patient, professional, and highly customer-focused.

  • Willingness to learn the OneRiver platform deeply and become an expert resource for customers.

  • Ability to travel to customer locations when required.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused problem solver who enjoys helping people succeed with technology.

They are equally comfortable leading a customer meeting, configuring software, troubleshooting a problem, training a group of users, or working with an internal technical team.

Most importantly, they understand that a successful implementation is not simply when the software goes live. Success is when customers adopt the software, change the way they work, and realize measurable value from their investment.

How Success Will Be Measured

Success in this role will include:

  • Successful and timely customer implementations.

  • High levels of user adoption following implementation.

  • Customer satisfaction with the implementation and training experience.

  • Customers achieving their defined business objectives.

  • Effective completion of customer training and user onboarding.

  • Reduction in implementation issues and time required to achieve adoption.

  • Successful transition from implementation to ongoing customer management.

  • Positive customer feedback and references.

  • Continuous improvement of OneRiver's implementation methodology and customer experience.

This is a critical customer-facing role at OneRiver Software. The Software Implementation Consultant will play a direct role in ensuring that every new customer not only successfully implements OneRiver, but realizes the significant business value our software is designed to deliver.
