This is a hybrid position and employees are expected to work in-office 2-3 days per week. The position is structured as a 12-month contract role and based in Svante's head office located in Burnaby, BC.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely work while building positive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to areas such as accounts receivable, project costing, inventory accounting, revenue accounting, and financial reporting.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable ERP/accounting system.

  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality financial records.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills when partnering with internal teams, project managers, funding partners, and customers.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business productivity tools.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic environment.

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a willingness to take ownership of tasks and processes.

Compensation & Benefits:

This role offers a competitive base salary in the range of CAD $76,800–$105,600. The total rewards package also includes extended health and dental benefits, paid vacation, sick leave, a health or wellness spending account and many other professional and personal development perks.
