Job description

Join the Crystal Lodge Team as a Reservations Agent!

Love Whistler?

Love hospitality?

Great at turning enquiries into bookings? We might have just the role for you!

At the Crystal Lodge, we’re all about creating awesome Whistler experiences. Located in the heart of Whistler Village and surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, we offer guests the perfect base for their next adventure.

We’re looking for a full-time Reservations Agent to join our friendly team. If you have experience in reservations, sales, or front desk operations, enjoy connecting with people, and love sharing your local knowledge, we’d love to hear from you!

This is more than taking bookings. You’ll play an important role in shaping our guests’ experiences before they even arrive, while helping us make the most of our rooms, rates, and revenue opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the reservations experience: Manage day-to-day reservations enquiries by phone and email, creating bookings through our in-house reservations system.
  • Keep things running smoothly: Monitor bookings, rate guarantees, packages, and online travel agency extranets to ensure everything is accurate and up to date.
  • Make every booking count: Identify opportunities to improve reservation processes, enhance the guest experience, and maximise hotel revenue.
  • Make arrivals seamless: Act as a key link between the reservations process and our Front Desk team, resolving guest queries before arrival.
  • Share your knowledge: Support the Front Desk team when needed, including reservations training as directed by the Reservations Coordinator and/or Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Keep our rooms available: Manage hotel availability across GDS channels, online travel agency extranets, and our website as required.
  • Be a team player: Support our Sales Coordinator and Sales & Marketing Coordinator with group enquiries, weddings, and events when needed.
  • Do your bit for the planet: Support our environmental commitments through responsible waste separation, water and energy conservation, and participation in green initiatives.

What We're Looking For

You don't need to know everything on day one, but you'll bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in delivering great hospitality.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience in hotel reservations and/or front desk operations, preferably within a medium-sized property, with a strong understanding of customer service and sales.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • A track record of contributing to improvements in service quality and operational standards.
  • A proactive, energetic approach, with the ability to recognise opportunities to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue.
  • A strong work ethic and the confidence to take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities while remaining calm and professional.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with experience using hotel operating systems and software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude that makes working together enjoyable.

Most importantly, you'll understand that great guest experiences start long before guests walk through our doors!

Why Work With Us?

We believe that creating awesome Whistler experiences starts with taking care of the people who make them happen.

As a member of the Crystal Crew, you'll enjoy:

  • Team Member discounts at Beacon Pub & Eatery and Table Nineteen at Nicklaus North.
  • Extended health benefits to support your wellbeing.
  • Shared staff housing is available!
  • A complimentary annual hotel stay - because you deserve a little Whistler getaway, too!
  • Access to summer and winter programs to help you make the most of life in Whistler.
  • Golf discounts at GolfBC courses.
  • Service awards, celebrations, and year-round team events!

Ready to Join the Crystal?

If you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy working with people, and love all things Whistler, we'd love to hear from you!

Bring your experience, your ideas, and your positive attitude. Together, we'll keep creating awesome Whistler experiences, one booking at a time.
