Position: Senior ERP Functional Analyst (JDE)

Location: Ideally, this person will be located in Edmonton or Calgary, AB or Delta, BC. Remote may be considered for an exceptional JDE candidate

Flexible Hybrid Work Model: We support collaboration and connection through a hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of 2 days per week on-site

Status: Permanent, full-time. This is a newly created opportunity.

Join a Growing Organization Where Your Expertise Makes a Difference

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ERP Functional Analyst to join our Digital and ERP team. This role will play a key part to help support, shape, implement, optimize and modernize our JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) platform as we continue to grow through business expansion, acquisitions, and digital transformation initiatives.

This is not primarily an application-support position. The successful candidate will be a hands-on functional solution leader with demonstrated experience implementing, upgrading, configuring, troubleshooting, and designing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne solutions. The role will focus principally on distribution and wholesale operations, while supporting manufacturing processes where applicable.

Reporting to the ERP Platform Manager, the successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor and functional subject matter expert across Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing. The analyst will translate complex operational requirements into scalable, supportable EnterpriseOne solutions that improve efficiency, controls, business adoption, and end-to-end process performance.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Senior ERP Functional Analyst (JDE)?

Lead end-to-end Business Process Improvement Initiatives and solution design

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges, opportunities, and strategic objectives.
  • Document and assess current-state processes, pain points, controls, data dependencies, integrations and business risks.
  • Design standardized future-state business processes and solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, automation, and user experience.
  • Challenge unnecessary customization and promote best-practice use of standard JD Edwards functionality and identify opportunities to replace or retire existing custom solutions.

Drive ERP Solution Design

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into complete, testable functional designs, process flows, configuration documents, interface requirements, data mappings, acceptance criteria, and detailed functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with technical resources, developers, and external partners to deliver effective solutions.
  • Evaluate system impacts and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Support business cases and benefit realization activities.

Support Enterprise Projects & Acquisitions

  • Participate in ERP projects from concept through implementation.
  • Support integration of newly acquired businesses into the ERP landscape.
  • Assist with process harmonization and standardization initiatives.
  • Contribute to ERP roadmap activities and continuous improvement efforts.

Functional Testing & User Readiness

  • Develop and execute functional test plans and test scenarios.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Validate enhancements, integrations, and new functionality.
  • Prepare user documentation, training materials, and knowledge resources.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on ERP functional experience, predominantly with EnterpriseOne.
  • Strong JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience with EnterpriseOne 9.2
  • Experience creating functional specifications for custom JDE development, Orchestrations, Logic Extensions, and integrations.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Order Management, Procurement, Inventory Management, and Advanced Pricing.
  • Experience with Transportation/Logistics processes and Finance integration.
  • Proven experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
  • Strong testing, implementation, and change management experience.
  • Proven experience preparing functional and technical design specifications for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne enhancements and custom development.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers to translate business requirements into clear, actionable development specifications.
  • Strong EnterpriseOne configuration experience, including processing options, versions, data selection, data sequencing, status rules, preferences, constant, UDCs, batch/UBE Processing and reporting
  • Experience writing detailed functional specifications for custom applications, reports, interfaces, conversions, Orchestrations, Logic Extensions, and integrations.
  • Experience with data conversion, migration mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple modules, integrations, master data, transactional data, batch processes, and accounting results.
  • Ability to influence business and technical stakeholders without direct authority and to manage multiple priorities in a growing organization.

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

  • Manufacturing experience, particularly with Product Data Management, bills of material, routings, work orders, MRP/MPS/DRP, shop-floor processes, product costing, and manufacturing accounting.
