We have partnered with an established organization in the fuel and industrial services sector to recruit an experienced Account Manager to support and grow customer relationships across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with experience in petroleum distribution, fuel, lubricants, propane, or a related industrial sector who understands the importance of building long-term customer relationships, delivering exceptional service, and identifying opportunities for business growth. Our client is looking for a relationship-driven professional who enjoys being in front of customers, understands the needs of commercial and industrial operations, and takes pride in being a trusted resource.

This is an opportunity to manage an established customer base while continuing to strengthen partnerships and develop new business throughout the territory.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of commercial and industrial customers across your territory.
  • Build strong relationships with customers in industries such as agriculture, transportation, construction, manufacturing, and other commercial sectors.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new business relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, service requirements, and account-related matters.
  • Support contract renewals, pricing discussions, quotations, tenders, and customer retention initiatives.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs, address challenges, and identify opportunities to provide additional products or services.
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers, business owners, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, customer appreciation functions, and community activities.
  • Work closely with internal operations and service teams to ensure customers receive reliable, responsive support.
  • Monitor territory activity, customer opportunities, and account performance, providing regular updates to management.

The Person
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager or Territory Sales professional who understands relationship-based selling within a commercial or industrial environment. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Experience in fuel, petroleum, lubricants, propane, or related industrial distribution, with an understanding of the products, customers, and competitive landscape.
  • A proven background in account management, territory sales, or business development, ideally serving commercial, agricultural, transportation, or industrial customers.
  • Demonstrated success in retaining and growing established accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience with pricing, quotations, contracts, and customer negotiations.
  • The ability to build credibility with business owners, operations managers, fleet managers, and other key decision-makers.
  • A customer-first approach, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • A self-motivated, accountable approach and the ability to manage a large geographic territory independently.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Why This Opportunity?
Our client is an established organization with a strong reputation for customer service, long-standing relationships, and a collaborative team environment.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established territory, work with a loyal customer base, and contribute directly to the continued growth of the business.

What You Can Expect

  • Competitive base salary starting at $75,000, depending on experience
  • Company vehicle
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • RRSP matching program
  • Flexible work environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Paid vacation and additional time off through travel banking
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • A supportive, close-knit team that values integrity, accountability, and long-term relationships

Travel Requirements
