  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including obtaining freight quotes, booking carriers, and tracking deliveries.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, and work with customs brokers on cross-border shipments to the United States.
  • Prepare and organize immigration documentation for employees, including work permits, and US visa applications, and track permit expiries and renewals in partnership with external advisors.
  • Support day-to-day HR administration, including onboarding and offboarding, employee records, and company policy distribution.
  • Serve as an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), including monthly workplace inspections, quarterly committee meetings, and WSIB reporting.
  • Post job openings, screen applications, coordinate interviews, and support candidates through the hiring process.

Education Requirements

College diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, human resources, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in an operations, administrative, logistics, or HR support role, ideally in a manufacturing or technology environment, in the following areas:

Inventory Management

  • Experience maintaining inventory records, receiving goods, and performing cycle counts.

Shipping & Logistics

  • Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Experience preparing shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Familiarity with cross-border shipping and working with customs brokers is considered an asset.

  • Experience preparing or organizing immigration documentation, such as work permits, or US visa applications.
  • Working knowledge of HR administration, including onboarding, employee records, and the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
  • Experience posting jobs, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.

Health & Safety

  • Current or previous experience serving on a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) is required.
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and WSIB requirements.
  • JHSC Certification (Part One and Part Two) is considered an asset.
