  • Review and consult with municipalities on Official Community Plans, subdivision and neighbourhood plans to ensure appropriate planning for land for schools in new developments.

  • Providing advice, input and information for the development of ministry capital policy and legislative amendments.

Performance, Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Monitor capital projects and programs, analyzing performance, risks and emerging issues, and work with school divisions to collect and validate information that supports ministry oversight and reporting.

  • Develop reports, dashboards and analytical tools to support planning, decision-making and performance monitoring.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting practices and processes.

  • Communicate project, financial and technical information through reports, briefing materials, presentations and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines and meet current legislative requirements.

Education and Experience

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a diploma, degree and/or professional designation in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, combined with experience in facility planning, infrastructure delivery, capital project management, building design, construction, facility management or related areas.
