Job description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior People Partner to support our Marketing, and Operations teams at Jane in building engaged, collaborative, and high-performing teams. These groups are the creative and strategic engines of Jane, collectively over 110 people strong and growing -working across Canada and the US to bring the Jane experience to life in bold and meaningful ways

This isn’t a behind-the-scenes support role. It’s a high-value, high-trust partnership that sits at the intersection of strategy and people. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, including our CMO, VP Insights & Operations, while also being deeply embedded in their teams, supporting individuals as a coach, sounding board, and advocate.

If you thrive on being close to the work and the people doing it and you’re energized by the idea of helping creative, strategic teams flourish - this could be the role for you.

What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make

  • Act as a strategic and hands-on partner to team members at every level—whether supporting a VP working through an organizational shift or collaborating with a team member on career growth. You'll be closely embedded in the day-to-day of Product, Design, and Marketing, building trust and ensuring emerging needs are heard and acted on early.

  • Help guide smart, people-centered growth by working with leadership to shape hiring plans, succession strategies, and org design that flex with the needs of each function. You’ll provide thoughtful support as these teams navigate growth, structure changes, and evolving ways of working. A very important part of your role is helping leaders continuously raise the bar and ensure they have the right team to drive our growth strategy.

  • Lead through change—whether it’s a shift in strategy, process, or structure, you’ll be a steady guide helping individuals and teams identify change requirements and ensure they have the right tools, support to adapt with resilience and clarity.

  • Support growth and development programs by contributing to the design and maintenance of clear, functional career frameworks, helping team members understand how they can grow and what success looks like in their roles.

  • Offer trusted guidance in complex moments—from team dynamics and interpersonal challenges to difficult feedback conversations, you’ll be a calm, credible resource that people seek out for clarity and care.

  • Champion culture and belonging across Product, Design, and Marketing by working with hiring partners and leaders to foster environments where diverse voices feel safe, seen, and supported.

  • Contribute to broader People initiatives—collaborating across the People team to enhance experiences like onboarding, performance, development, and employee engagement in ways that reflect Jane’s values.

  • Bring a curious, hands-on approach to AI, using it in your daily work and building agents to take on recurring tasks to move faster and focus on the people side of the job.

What Experience We Need

  • 5+ years of People (HR) experience, with at least 5 years as a People Partner or HR Business Partner (bonus points if it’s in the SaaS space!)

  • You love solving people challenges with creative, tailored solutions instead of relying on rigid policies.

  • You’re a highly skilled trust builder who can navigate relationships at all levels—from executives to brand-new hires—with confidence, humility, and authenticity.

  • You understand the business—not just HR best practices. You’re hungry to build context, dive deep into how each business group works, and align People strategies with business goals.

  • You like a bit of ambiguity and can find solutions amongst the ‘grey’

  • You’re a strong communicator and facilitator, skilled at adapting your message to different audiences and leading challenging conversations with a balance of empathy and directness.

  • You have a keen eye for patterns and trends and can take what you learn on the ground to drive larger, team-wide impact.

  • You’re comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving environments where change is the norm

  • You are not afraid to ask for help or leverage resources available to you in order to better serve your customers.

If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
