- Drive KPI and results-based performance by monitoring productivity, accuracy, on-time shipping, packaging throughput, and cost controls against targets.
- Troubleshoot operational issues in real time, including bottlenecks, equipment, labour, inventory, and shipping problems, and implement corrective actions that solve the root cause.
- Manage employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, attendance, and fair, consistent discipline in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), with complete and accurate documentation.
- Ensure timely, accurate shipment of customer orders, investigating lost or damaged shipments and implementing corrective actions.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities that increase productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency across inbound, outbound, and packaging processes.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular spot-checks and cycle counts of inventory, supplies, and equipment, while optimizing warehouse layout and space to minimize loss or damage.
- Enforce health, safety, and security policies to maintain a safe, hazard-free workplace for all warehouse employees.
- Report regularly to the Distribution Manager and Warehouse Manager on shift targets, KPI results, operational issues, and daily production reports to support fast, informed decisions.
- Partner with Human Resources on labour and employee relations matters, building positive working relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Ideal Qualifications
- Diploma, degree, or post-secondary education, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing and production, or in both inbound and outbound warehouse operations; unionized environment experience is an asset
- Capable, strong leader with effective employee management and employee relations skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization
- KPI and results-driven, with a track record of improving productivity, accuracy, and on-time performance in inbound, outbound, and packaging operations
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach and a commitment to driving success on the floor
- Proficiency with MS Office, warehouse management systems (WMS), RFID, and bar code systems

- Hands-on oversight of inbound, outbound, and warehouse operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to operational issues.
- Regular walking, standing, and presence on the warehouse floor.
